How does this look as a starter Iw force?

Fairly easy to make up and paint, special job on the lord and oblits of course.

All of the units will be used in the 1500pt list so fairly nice, lots of guns and cheap units.

Slightly lacking lascannons but the oblits should help out here.

.cut down to 3 tanks and give them the Mutated Hull--for +1 Armour value on all sides.............Other than that.....

Might want some more troops as well, considering you only have 16 models and 4 tanks on the board.......better hope you don't play escalation..........
