My other, OTHER hobby.
On track to see if I can finish up the two lingering Tau pieces, as well as get my last supply drop shipments OUT to the UK.

Thanks! I will note a few things:
1) With DCC, the 'electronics' side of the balance sheet is pretty much done.
2) The locomotive is making all of the noise in that video.
3) I'm now curious as to what model railroad stuff you have.

Some HO, last stuff has been N just for space considerations but I'm really interested in early steam era or industrial logging/mining operations... which N is NOT a good scale for. Actually I have a ton of locos & cars... just nothing to run them on.
And my early experiments in DCC pretty much failed completely. Chips would fail (had a real MRR guy do the install), etc. That was N scale though.
We can discuss over PM.

Hokay, moving on, we're in the home stretch when it comes to "Old Projects on the Shelf of Death". I have a bad habit of starting a project and NOT FINISHING IT. Usually I get bored, or distracted, or hit the painting stage and go 'meh'. So, as my loyal followers...err...readers can see, I have been going through and knocking out all of these old projects. It really feels good to FINISH them, and it clears the decks for me to focus on...The Big O.
Here's the work I've done today. All the fiddly bits for my Air Caste Devilfish/Skyray combo. I love to look of the Tau, even if I don't think the race belongs in the GRIMDARK. Anyways. The two Tau models (this one and the walker Hammerhead) were just "Ideas I had in my head", as I have no real intention of building up a Tau Force. Now, my Kroot on the other hand...
(ahem)
Every option you can take is there. One of the nice things about the person who designed the initial Tau Devilfish/Hammerhead design is that the various 'option holes' are all the same size. The same mount point can handle the Commander's Copula, the Burst Cannon Turret, and the Main Gun turret. (And, by default, the Skyray Turret, which was forced to use the same mount point.) This gives you some interesting conversion options, without having to hack the main hull, which is a pain in the arse.

Sorry, folks. Not even close.
I don't feel sorry for Tournies (that's what I call tournament players) at all. I think GW threw them a huge bone w/ vanilla "one size fits all" rules for weapons & vehicles, no wargear cards, etc. They are the reason we didn't have good things for a long time.
But the pendulum is swinging back. 6th reminds of 2nd in many ways, and in my world that is a very awesome thing.
I noticed your supply drop included Folk Art paint! I'm still experimenting w/ a couple things but if I get the results I'm looking for I'm going to share a new line of inks I found while at my FLCS (Friendly Local Craft Store) the other day.

Thankfully, I only attend one tournament a year.
I feel sorry for the Tournies because they've convinced themselves that they are the driving "force" in 40K, and that GW should bow to their whims. But they're the minority, and * WE* are the majority. And 6th edition was a big win for us.
I hate putting it in 'us versus them' terms, but the fact remains: GW Design Studio produces hobby games. GW Corporate wants to move product. GW as a whole entity moves to these two drummers.

Having this stuff in a box is what caused my waaaangst in the first place. No. I clear out my old projects, get them DONE, and then I can focus on giving the Big O the paintjob it deserves. Plus, I'm getting more practice with the airbrush.
