Thank you very much for the kind words! I know my painting and modeling isn't quite as impressive as say Cam's or Klaus', but I appreciate you sticking through it! It means the world to me.

Don't be silly, your painting and modelling is very impressive, my painting standard is that of a 11 yr old. I'm hoping one day I can paint my models to half the standard of yours. Although you have taught me a few things. Love the step by step photos you put on this blog to, it's nice to see the transformation take place.

I have some more on my fanfiction page, though it hasn't been updated in some time. https://www.fanfiction.net/u/1863981/xXWeaponPrimeXx

Read this stuff, can't get enough. Hope you have time to add a few more chapters to "it's a dogs life" want to know how they do it and if she finally takes he's hand lol.

Thank you very much Staggsy. I have plans to finish that story, but for now it is on the backburner. I promise to post here when I've worked on it again.

Hello boys, girls and cultists of all ages!

Sorry for my absence, but in my defense there was a holiday and then I had a guest from Michigan that for some reason finds my desolate wasteland interesting.

So, I have a little bit of work to show you. Nothing too special. I started on the paint scheme for my Blood Bowl Human team. I am taking a queue from the book and making them the Bad Bay Hackers.

So, with that in mind. BAM!

AND WHA-BAM!!

That's as far as I got before my company arrived.

Now, onto this years Christmas mini. Behold, Malic (the human) and Thoth (the dragonborn)

So, Thoth is mine, let's just ignore him for now.

Both minis custom built on Hero Forge (starting to love that site WAY too much).

This is their new white plastic.

Its nice, but once it was sprayed I could see the print lines pretty clearly. Though, not in my photo.

So after a night's painting, here's where I left off with Malic.

His owner likes red and black, so....

The red in the coat is actually mithril silver with the souldstone red overlayed onto it (to try and vary the red and black a little).

You can still see it on the shoulders.

I also painted the floor with rakarth flesh and reikland fleshshade. Next time I'll put some agrax earthshade on it.

Then here's the work I did on Thoth (again he's mine, so its not a lot).

That's it for today guys. See you soon.

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! Happy Holidays!

Would you guys believe that I have 3 weeks worth of photos to post and I just haven't yet?

Oh... you would....

Well, I'll post them up soon, I swear!

Hmm.... I don't think that's supposed to happen...

Nah man, don't you worry your pretty little head.

Oh... okay voice I've never heard before now. Anyway guys and gals, I'm back. Sort of. I know I haven't posted in a while, and that's entirely on me. But I plan on fixing that and getting back in the swing of things. Starting with a list of project to complete, IN ORDER, so that I can make sure all goes according to plan.

First on that list, finish painting the Baneblade! Voice, will you keep track of these?

Sure... I guess...

1) Finish that BaneBlade

Second, I have a Manticore that needs to be finished.

2) Finish the Manticore

Third, Gotta finish up them fliers.

3) Do you think he's paying attention to what I put here?

Next I should probably work on that Taurox and box of Tempestus I got.

4) I don't think he is.

After that I picked up some Eisenskern a bit ago that wouldn't look too out of place amongst my Chem-Dogs.

5) This chump. Watch this. KLAATU!

And then we can add to Tanis and Kneives' groups with a new box of Necromunda Eschers.

5) BARATA!

Nikto.

I have been paying attention to everything.

......shit...... sorry. Just having a little fun with my newfound freedom.

That's fine. But don't screw up that list. I want to get actual work done now.

Right, right.
1) Baneblade
2) Manticore
3) Fliers
4) Eisenskern
5) Taurox and Tempestus
6) Eschers

Anything else?

No, I think we're good.

Sweet. Let's do this.

See you guys soon with some pictures of things I have done since I've been gone... So... are you here to stay then?

I think I'm a manifestation of your guilt mixed with a little bit of psychosis and creativity. So... I'm probably only going to get worse, chief.

Perfect.... See you all soon.

Hey guys! Thanks for the welcome home!

I had uploaded some images last night with the intention of classifying them and stuff while I was at work, but now they're not there. So... I guess all that will have to wait until my lunch hour when I can reupload them.

Hey kids!

Finally got those pictures sorted. Let's start with what I painted for GenCon this year before going full swing back into the Hexblade.

You might remember this guy.

This is Thoth, my Dragonborn Warlock for DnD this year. I have posted pictures of him before, but I decided I didn't like the colors I was working on and resprayed him black to cover it all. I started by painting his staff gold.

Then I painted his robes a nice dark green. I already liked this much more than the orange I was working with.

Then, in true fashion of me not remembering I have a P&M Blog, I forgot to take a bunch of pictures. So here is how he wound up.

I really like how he came out. But my warlock needs a familiar. I thought I'd flex my green stuff muscles and sculpt it. So I took a ball of green stuff with the intention of making a mini Cthulhu thing (My warlock is a great old one patron). But I couldn't manage to sculpt it. I couldn't get it to hold shape as every time I went to scratch in an eye I turned it from a sphere to a peanut by holding it too hard. In the end. I went with something a bit more manageable. I decided my familiar would be a quasit that looks like a big slimy leech.

So I started with a mixture of chaos black and rakarth flesh for a skin tone.

Once that was dry I used purple ink to ink the whole worm. It came out very splotchy, but since its supposed to be a leach I thought that would be okay. I also put some green on the scales to make them pop.

Then I used some Nurgle's rot on the mouth to give it some nice shiny slimy teeth. And finished the whole thing up with a healthy coating of 'Ardcoat for sheen. I don't have another photo to really show it off, but if people are interested I can post them up in my little photo studio for proper pictures.

NOW!!

Onto the HEXBLADE!

First up, a little reminder of where we left off. I got this monster for my birthday two years ago and immediately decided I wanted to magnetize it to get it all I could out of this very expensive model.

And you know what? Mission accomplished.

It wasn't the easiest, but it was doable and I am rather pleased with the results.

You know what I realized after I started taking all these pictures?

Aside from repairs I need to make from this being stuffed into a storage bin [like that antenna].

I was mostly done painting it save to picking out some details.

I guess I got farther than I thought I did.

All the magnets were still in place.

My terrible frankstein parts are still together.

And BAM! It still works well!

Here's the change over to the other variants.

This piece actually has a paperclip piece on each side for the magnets to grip.

Since that piece is reversible and needs to go in back.

And lastly, here's all the little parts that need work.

SO! To start off, I needed to add detail on everything. First thing I worked on was the Mega Bolter. Liberally applied some silver to pick it out. Nothing major, just enough to make it pop.

Next it was the heavy bolter front panel. same deal.

Demolisher cannon got a hint of gold on the winged skull, and some silver.

For our first bit of real color, I moved onto the back panel. Lots of wires here. They needed to be picked out.

Threw some silver on the bolter turret.

And then some silver and wire coloring onto the BIG turret. Gotta think of something to paint on the random tau bits I glued onto it the front.

Finished with some hinges on the big main piece.

And that's what I got done. I'm quite proud with how its turning out. I have more details to paint (there are a ton of hinges on this thing that need silver paint) and some trophies sitting in the tow hooks that need color too.

But what do you guys think? Anything you want to see? Lemme know. Man it feels good to be back!

Hello all you wonderful people! Sorry I'm a little late on the update, but I am still getting into the swing of things. I don't have as many pictures today. Detail work is time consuming and doesn't lead to a lot of pics.

So, continuing where I left off, I resumed painting hinges. Namely all the hinges on track guards.

Then I painted a couple of hinges on top along with some squares on the smoke launchers.

Moving to the back of my tank, most of this detail was done already. But I needed to paint the trophies on the tow hooks.

Moving onto the turret. I added some more yellow to the spotlight, painted the aerials silver and picked out just a few more details.

Next I moved onto the lascannon turrets that go on the sponsons.

Then to wrap up the night I took a picture of the whole beastie so far.

Gotta say I'm pretty impressed with it. Its coming along nicely. What do you all think? Lemme know in the comments below!

Hey guys, forgot to post this sooner. No update this week (obviously). Took my dad to the hospital over last weekend (don't worry, he's okay now) and then spent the rest of the week coming down from the stress.

Normal posts should resume next week.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys (even though I swore I would do better).

I got sick.

I think I caught some nasty thing from when I took my dad to the hospital. I'm on the mend, but I'm not quite 100% just yet.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Always look forward to seeing what your upto, but it comes as an when bud, no worries, still listening.

The Hexblade is looking pretty sweet bud, survived storage well by the look of it. Think one day I will scratch up one of these, and your lovely detailed pics will do nicely for reference.

Thanks guys!
I figure one more week of rest and I should be back to my usual 98% (never been 100%). Cam, I expect detailed build pics of a scratch-blade!

Also I'll have to make a slight addendum to my list. My buddy is sending me a Helldrake (He and I both think it looks too awesome not to try and paint) so I will be working on that after my hexblade/as soon as it arrives.

Still on the mend guys.

Almost a month and I'm still waking up to a sore throat.

Finished my dose of anti-biotics... so... now I guess I wait.

Look guys! I'm alive!

Continuing sore throat and coughing aside, I still live!

And look, here's a baneblade.

And I missed a few details during my last paint session.

Time to fix that! These looked more like tubes to me than cables, so, they became metal.

This got the wire treatment though.

And using the same green I added some details to the tau bits I stuck on.

Next, the tanker needed some finalizing.

Starting with the helmet and pads.

While that was drying I had the idea to put some 'ardcoat under the turret to protect it while together. You can already see the wear from test turning it.

Some strategic flesh, gold and yellow later, I think we can all the tanker done.

And this is what I have left to paint to claim this bad boy as done. The shells, the sponsons and the heavy stubbers.

Then I took a break to dig through my stuff to find my drill (You cant put a large bit in the new ones in case you were wondering). While doing that, I managed to find the sentinels I'd modded AND some Tyranid bits. And then I remembered my bit of fluff regarding this tank. They find it while fighting Tyranids. WELL! That's good enough for me.

Doot!

Doot Doot!

Dootily Doot!

And some purple for the chitin (my Tyranid army colors).

Then I figured out where it would go...

...fished out some chain...

And set to making it look haphazardly attached to my tank.

I wrapped it across the top and secured it top and bottom with glue.

And when I hit the bottom, I started back up, adding more glue at the intersections and pressing it down with my paintbrush handle.

Beautiful. Isn't it?

That's all the work I completed this time guys. But here's a little supply drop.

Can anyone tell me how to use the new technical paints? I can't even find them on the GW website.

That's all I got this time folks. Catch you later!

Hey there Conscripts!

I know I missed last week's update, but I didn't sit around and do nothing!

I actually, get this, FINISHED the Hexblade

Whaaaaaaaaat????

I know, right?

So, tonight, I will be taking glamour shots of the tank in all its completed glory as well as fiddling around with an Anvil Industry supply drop before starting on the Heldrake my friend sent me.

Just a heads up of the things to come.

See you soon!

Conscripts!

Have I got an update for you!

As of last week, these were all I had left to paint. (Save for like the shells and tools and stuff I didn't include on the tank)

Added some silver to the hinges.

Added some color and detail here.

Some gunmetal here.

Then it was time for the twinlinked sponsons. Coated them all in black and set them aside to dry.

While they were drying I started on the stubbers.

A nice bit of camo to them.

And while that camo started to dry, I went back to the bolters.

Then back to the stubbers again! (MAN! I was all over the place last week) Added some gold to the aquila's. PRAISE BE TO THE GOD-EMPEROR OF MANKIND!

The final details on the bolters.

And the flamers

Straightened out the colors on the stubbers.

And painted and inked the barrels.

Next I.... wait.... is that it??

Oh my god guys... Its... its done...

ITS DONE! GUYS! AFTER TWO YEARS! THIS BEAST IS DONE!

Showcase of Pics in the spoilered section!

Spoiler:

It's here where I saw that the carapace throws off the turret a bit. I might need to fix that.

Oh yeah. It really messes with the demolisher cannon. Gonna need to fix this.

MOVING ON!

Quick update to show off a supply drop that came in today.

I've never got Anvil Industries minis before, but I spent at least 2 hours looking through their stock and deciding what to get. So I got a 10 man squad's worth of bits.

Capes and great coat legs.

Some special weapons!

A nice supply of lasguns.

And some magnets to make the special weapons interchangeable.

So I pulled the legs out of the bag (tonight!) and picked a set at random to test.

I snipped off the little tab so it would fit in the provided slotta bases and then set investigate the chests. I got two types. With breather and without (since the special weapons have a backpack of their own. For the test, I went with the breather pack.

Then I looked at the arms. Luckily a pair had broken off in transit across the ocean, so I decided to use it. Make things easy on myself.

Also, look at the heads I got too!

Here's all my choices together.

Legs!

As you might have noticed the legs have a little peg that fits into the bottom of the torso, makes it real easy to put together and matches great.

Added the head.

Similarly, there are also pegs and sockets for the arms too.

Looks great!

Even added a bayonet from the sprue and a spare powerpack.

I'm definitely getting more of these!

AND lastly for the night, I started on my Heldrake. I took it outside and sprayed it down with leadbelcher.

Then I started to piece the beast together. Didn't get too far, but man is it super easy when you aren't magnetizing everything.

And that's all I accomplished tonight. What do you all think?

Questions, comments and criticism are always welcome!

SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!

Thanks Cam, glad you like it

I might have to redo the Zoathrope skull plate. It mucks up the other turrets something fierce.

Hey everyone,

Sorry about the lack of updates.

I have some more build pics in my phone of the Heldrake, but I haven't taken the time to get them off.

What with the holidays coming and going and me getting ready to move, I simply haven't had time.

But what I did do is go through and update my It's a Dog's Life story that I had been posting here. Made some edits to bring up to my current level of writing and changed some minor things. I'll post it here soon.

Hello conscripts!

Sorry for the incredibly long bout of silence, but I recently moved.

You'd be surprised how much stuff you can accumulate in a 1 bedroom apartment over the course of 10 years (on a related note if anyone is interested in a sizeable g. i. joe collection, hit me up).

The good news is I am now done moving and am currently in the middle of the unpacking phase.

By this time next month I should be fully unpacked and ready to dive head first into painting once more!

Hey guys and gals,

I know its been awhile. Moving. Unpacking. Work. Sickness. House-sitting. And general laziness have all impeded any actual work getting done. Hell, even now. I'm currently sitting at work on my computer (shhh, don't tell on me) and decided I had some time to kill (also my boss left early) so I did some tinkering on heroforge. They recently added shackles to their gear and I though "Ya know who would wear shackles?"

With that in mind, I made up 5 different lunatics that might, one day, join my army. No names yet. But I really had some fun with the new posing mechanics they added. Now if they only had some more guns or gun additions to mess with.

First up, a scumbag with a mock salute. I really like how he came out. Can almost feel the disrespect.

Next up, a ganger girl with her eye on the prize.

Now, an emaciated psycho with a penchant for blowing things up. I REALLY like this one. Looks a little like Krieg from Borderlands 2 to me.

Following him is a big gal with a crazy look in her eye I simply call, Bertha.

Lastly, we have a big man. Hard to tell from the screenshots but he's nearly two feet taller (scale wise) than the others.

I also mocked up a bunch of snipers to fill out Brigg's squad of my counts-as ratlings. If you all like these, maybe I'll share some screens of them.

I should have some actual painting done up soon. Just need a chair for my painting table and to... well... move all the crap off my painting table.

Love, peace and chicken grease all!

Hey everyone

I know, I know. Another post without anything to show for it. It happens sometimes, ya know? Things get in the way of plans.

As you know (if you're reading my posts at least) I moved. I have most of a painting set up... set up. All I need is a chair and to move some boxes that I can't bring myself to unpack out of the way and I can resume my hobby.

As I'm sure you guys know, any new home has its fair share of problems. Mine is spiders. Big frickin' spiders. And guess what I learned about myself. I have arachnophobia. Three times now I've been minding my own business when big honkin' spiders make their presence known (once by my dining room light, once in my frickin' shoe, and one big mutha that scurried up my wall!) and each time I have freaked out and murdered it with reckless abandon!

Pest control came and went, and I have a bit of piece of mind now.

Its not all spiders mind you, just the ones where I feel its too big for me to smash it without a tool of some kind.

So, that's my update. How are all of you doing? No comments on my last post sharing some heroforge stuff I mocked up. Hope you're all okay.

Love, peace and chicken grease!
