Thanks Nerdy ! Yeah the monopose plastic is a little disappointing compared to the forgeworld versions so I just had to smash him up !
Paint wise I'm going for recently turned Death Guard, dirty and oozing but still white and green armour, just chipped and rusted to feth !
Finished the glue stage, have a little cleaning up of greenstuff to do then paint this week with any luck.....

I may have been a little over optimistic when I thought I’d get the contemptor done in a week, but here he is ! Better late than never !

I’m fairly happy with it, me and Little H are going for something like “35K” Death Guard, ie chipped and worn but not yet the full on 40K tentacles and belly teeth.
What do you good people think ?

I love them, but I can't help but think that the first time that big gun goes off, the recoil will shear it away from the bot's body and it'll go flying backwards 100 feet!

You are clearly confusing our backwards 21st century ballistic realities with those of the 40th millenia, where super efficient muzzle breaks and scientifically enhanced propellants created from distilled warp flux allow for such flimsy looking weapon attachment.

Plus also..... because Chaos.

Plus a long barrel will help with the recoil. Think about shooting a little 2" barrel .44 mag or a big dumb 8" barrel. The big one is much more forgiving due to the added weight.

Look great as a group. Nice work.

Also, the length of one's barrel does not always indicate the effectiveness of said weapon.

.44 mag needs a 16" barrel, full stock and a lever action , but couldn't model that on a Defiler

Some random work in progress that I intend to sell in the run up to Christmas, mostly due to Little H changing his mind about Dwarfs and now wanting Elf’s .

Hobby is hard

Been up to not a lot paint wise.
However I have been tinkering with an absolute dog of a Landraider bought for cheeeeep from eBay in order to convert to a Death Guard Spartan.
I used a lot of aftermarket resin bits so the state of the paint really didn’t matter too much.
