Subject: The Infinity News and Rumors Thread - 2017 Edition!
Having started collecting JSA after Paradiso I must say I had no interest in collecting any vanilla Yu Jing until N3. They sorely needed a redesign on many units and some tweaking to their stats. I don't particularly feel they have disproportionately received too much attention considering how outdated & uninteresting many of their units looked.
If any faction needs attention I'd say its still not PanO.
Haqq & CA (more than just Shas) have many models & profiles that could use a retooling.
Yeah, I was a bit amused at the previous comment. Yu Jing players have absolutely been spoiled since N3, but there was a helluva dry spell before that. I was watching all the great digital redesigns getting released for other factions and wondering if I should break down and switch factions.
I still have my stuff, and for the record, I can't NOT like the game enough....
Absolutely professional sculpts, and the quality of each and every faction is top notch...
At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Aww, guys, I had to go to the official forums to see this. >:|
It paints up nicely enough, and should fit right in with the rest of the bagh-mari. It's not a show stopper, but still a nice mini overall. A new Guarda de Assalto and the ASA regular hacker and the ASA refresh should be essentially complete.
And still pending:
Danavas Hacker with Karkata remote
Caledonian Starter Box Hassassin Ayyar
Repacks:
Ninjas MSR and Hacker
Zeroes Combi rifle and Hacker
And the Steel Phalanx army box

We've also seen a render for the Danavas and her Karkata.
I like the new Bagh-Mari. Kinda bummed we're not getting an ASA box and new ORCs. Also, GdA won't have alternate arms anymore most likely, so it'll be just one profile.

Huh. That Karkata would make a decent Warhound Titan base for Epic, if the scale is right.
“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

I'd find the BM to be more appealing, if the HMG had the forward grip. On the other hand the CHA seems to have mastered this technology. Not sure what sort of a sight is the BM trooper also using to aim.

I would assume his armor can reduce recoil through some sort of auto joint flexing. I also assume a Panoceania HMG is relatively low recoil. As for optics, the helmet has a but ton built in and probably auto syncs and battle sights to the HMG, similar to wearing NVGs and having a PEQ-15 in real life.
Says more the CHA is still relying on muscles, RCO/CCOs and foregrips.

My line of thought is less about recoil problems but making the gun more natural to handle/ergonomic. PanOceania does have a forward grip on boarding shotgun and LGL/combi rifle (existing only as concept for the moment). I'm not sure how many other factions also have it on their BSGs.
As for the sight, those thoughts might be suitable for models with visors but not for HMG Fusiliers for instance. Also seems needlessly complicated, much like old PanOceania guns.

Panoceania fusiliers are wearing Google contacts? I actually assume fusiliers are perpetually being caught during pre-combat checks and pre-combat inspections and just nevet get a chance to put a helmet on lol. Father Knights and Aquila Guard are very particular about how their troops look before a fight and Fusiliers being who they are, always are failing their checks and inspections because they forget their helmets.

Naw. It works nicely as a short cape. Complements the Govad's short jacket. And vaguely reminds me of a Serape... with the 2 pistols and gunslinger pose, the Ayyar has a Wild West vibe, no? I think that I'll paint its cape with a pattern befitting a serape.
Very nice mini. A must get for any Haqq player.

Very Wild West vibe, yeah. Looks awesome, and the profile looks really fun.

That's a strange base. Perhaps a merc? Perhaps we have an upcoming Druze resculpt? It's in the Druze colors, and the front toes painted black look kinda like the 'newer' druze hacker promo. Plus, you can make out some shoelaces/buckles on the preview image going up the boot which is shown on the Druze hacker albeit some covered up by her longer boots. This is just my speculation.

Spoiler:
The basing style is wrong for it to be a Druze.
Mercenary is a good guess to run with. Three Mercenary units have that style of base right now:
