Thank you Olthannon, Guardling, gobert, Viterbi, and Zemlod

Apologies that I have been quiet for three months, had no access for a month and a half and then had to relearn a few things to finish these.

Finished five more old metal Eschers.

Great to see you again CB! Hope you've had a good festive season etc.

Excellent work on those Escher, that green is magnificent. I wonder what weird Underhive bug got mashed together to make that hair dye?

Nice updates, It's been too long since I checked your blog out. Your ratskins look great, always been my favorites of the classic Necromunda line.

Wow, 180 metal Necromunda minis! That campaign is going to be seriously heavy weight. I hope your terrain can handle the loads! . Seriously though, that’s mighty impressive, and what a way to finish, the Eschers look great, especially love the glowing green hair! Hope we get to see some action pics from the campaign

Congratulations CB! That's a truly superb collection of scum and villainy! I'm sure we'd all enjoy some battle shots of the campaign as you go.

What's the next project?

More terrain of course...a pair bridges made from four wooden rulers, some wire mesh, cardboard, and toothpicks.

While I was waiting for some flying buttresses I did some work burning some forest for area terrain that does not look so green and pristine.

Wait, those bridges are seriously made just from some toothpicks and rulers and some mesh?

Would you mind showing that off?

Because these are awesome.

Not Online!!! wrote:Wait, those bridges are seriously made just from some toothpicks and rulers and some mesh?

Because these are awesome.

Certainly,
1) just go to Walmart or a Dollar store and purchase two wooden rulers.
2) remove any plastic or rubber and turn them upside down (so that the flat bottom is now the floor of the bridge) and glue them together with wood glue on the long side.
3) then I placed a fine mesh over the entire platform (glue to it with epoxy or superglue).
4) make add some rails with cardboard or chipboard or popsicle sticks and glue to the sides of the rulers.
5) then use some popsicle sticks and glue them to the middle join of the rulers (this is the former top of the ruler), this is to reinforce the strength of the two rulers.
6) then a few more popsicles are glued to the bottom sides of the rails and the rulers...again this is to make the bridge stronger.
7) apply your paint.

Hope that helps.

In progress shot.

Good luck painting the Eternal Cathedral! I've actually heard nothing but good things about that kit.

Thanks Guardling, it looks like it is scaled for 28mm. It looks similar in column size. I will add some figures in a later photo.

Thank you Gwyn chan 'r Gwyll

ShadowsAndDust wrote:Good luck painting the Eternal Cathedral! I've actually heard nothing but good things about that kit.

Thanks ShadowsAndDust,
It comes with holes already built into the design for either plastic joins or magnets. I went for plastic as I am going to mount it on pressboard...although there was a lack of plugs included. All those little white dots in my previous post are home made plugs as the kit did not have enough.

First of the three portions I glued together and mounted on a base. I added some flying buttresses (Made by one of the gamers in my group) as there is no longer a roof.

The started a ruined floor made from chipboard.

More to come as I do sections two and three.

You must have a warehouse somewhere full of terrain. Every time I turn around you have a new project going.
The trees look good, the bridges look good.
This new Cathedral looks cool.

Good to see that kit on this site. I'm currently working on the Kazumi temple and once done I'll tackle my own cathedral set.

Thanks DJJazzyJeff, I have two shelves in the storage room that are backed from floor to ceiling. I find interesting ways to stack them.

Thanks Miguelsan, good luck on your set. I do find the kit short on plugs and filled over a dozen with chipboard circles.

Another two mounted on a new base, which I have cut in two so that it can be a single piece or split in two. Then I added tiles. Next is the rubble and the remnants of the roof.

Thanks itsonlyme.

Starting the rubble and added some angled supports for the missing roof (as the kit does not have one). I am also not going to add any ledges, there five pieces that came with the kit really only fit in certain orientations and I wanted to make these builds game board friendly...although there are two corners that are larger piles that will cause 'wobbling model'...but that are the only two.
