So, what drugs were you on, and are there any left? Damn impressive, I think that´s the fastest army ever!

I could never do that, way to nit-picky about my models...

Caffeine.

Lots of Caffeine.

To be honest, the 8 days/26 hours things involves only painting time, and not prep, assembly, or priming.

Lemingspawn had an interesting speed painting method (different than mine - actually, I kind of used his to finish the bloodcrushers).

He put an article on coolmini: http://www.coolminiornot.com/article/aid/725

Finished the display board and added a bit more to the bases of each model.

Tomorrow night, I'm on the road to Chi-Town.

An outstanding effort to paint and post progress of an entire army in such a short period of time.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

The addition of the red stone has really worked wonders.

The army looks great. And the speed you finished such a diverse army is close to sickening.

It's so nice to be privy to such feats as they develop from bits of plastic and metal to finished armies in such a short amount of time.

Bravo.

Thanks...

I have to say, I don't think my stuff is all that good...it just comes together quick. It's painted to a level that looks good on the tabletop, but up close, you can tell what shortcuts I'm using and all.

It doesn't really take all that much skill...a lot is just practice in terms of how to get the most out of drybrushing and overbrushing. Which really just involves a lot of drybrushing experience so you can judge how much paint to leave on the brush.

The biggest skill aspect is in choosing colors, or more precisely, choosing shades of color so that they blend together.

Anyway, none of this stuff is going be winning a Golden Demon.

Then again, my standards are skewed because I've sat down, chatted, and have seen the works of painters like Orteza, Dave Taylor, Chris Borer, and other GD-caliber painters.

You have outdone yourself.
I like the change on the bases. An awesome way to put more life into those things.

Other than that, I believe all has been said. The army looks great and I dont think anyone couldve done a better job in the same matter of time. Very well done and congrats on a great looking army.

I am in awe with how good looking and at the speed with which it was finished. That army looks better than most chaos armies i have faced. You must have had neck spasms. I wish I could to that. Its takes me foreever just to paint 10 models.

Personally I have to say they looked just as impressive in person. Still in shock that we didn't get to play, first time I've gone to Chicago and not been beaten by you.

Sounded like they performed fairly well, particularly for such a 'chaotic' army. I guess it's my turn now to make a Daemonhunters army huh?

Batreps coming, although I apparently screwed up a setting on my camera, so the pics are a bit sub-optimal, but they're enough to let you see what's going on.

This was definitely the weekend of Chaos infighting, as I fought 3 CSM armies, a Space Wolf army, and an Eldar army. Ended up with 2 20-point wins, a 10-point loss (minor but with full bonus points), a 15 point minor win (+2 bonus), and a game where cascading Epic Failure struck and I got 5 points out of a major loss with 2 bonus points.

What was the final list you used? I can guess most of it from the army, but I'm curious of details.

The speed you got this army on the table is amazing. It doesn't look like a fast job so you have succeeded really well.
