Excellent excellent stuff as ever Hammer. I´ve got a few more Void armored guys in the pipe also and this is great for inspiration, love the helmets you´ve done with the kroot visors!

I just realised I might just never reach this level of skill. And then I went .

All it takes is practise! Maybe you should go and hang out with these guys sometimes, you're all in Scandinavia right?

It really mostly takes practise. You should've seen when me and Hammer met 8 years ago. I didn't even know what pinning ment and he had a very liberal idea about removing flash

What the others said, all it takes is practise. My conversions aren't really that complicated. My green stuff "skill" is still just mostly plugging any holes my cutting the plastic and metal left behind. I tried a few times more complicated sculpting, but the results weren't that good. I could have had better results with practise, I suppose, but I'm content on remaining this level.

I have utmost respects for those who do sculpt their own stuff (faces are hard especially).

But you can easily come to my "level" by just trying it lots of times. That's how I did it.

Reallly excellent Col, (Yes I know there are three l's but this deserves it)

Those Bears are looking so awesome. It makes me want to go out and get me some more IG's and convert them to hell and back, if only I could get them to look that cool.

Is it possible to get some lone shots of the guys with shields??

IKeep up the good work!

EDIT: Damn typos

I have been distracted by a Flames of War Sturmkompanie that I'm building (3000 points + 1000 points of fortifications attending a 12000-15000 points big game coming up in spring)...

To get the Broodmunda going again, I've re-scheduled some stuff:

In february I plan to build and paint 8 Bears and 8 Hybrids. This is enough to let us start playing the first games (at the start of march).

After that I plan to paint the rest of the Bears and add more Brood for bigger games planned for later.

Running a slight risk of thread necromancy, but I'm too curious not to ask: How's your modelling going?

I really like your models so far. Lots of love put into each one of them.

Hammer's changed his mind Or rather decided he's more interested of something else than this and hence jumped ship and is now working on his gorgeous Wolves.

I think the Bears might yet feature along his SWs, but this campaign is dead. The second GM did 4months of "rules are still missing, but I've finished them" before going totally awol, while Hammer had started working on other projects and talked everyhting but the campaign with his co GM. At that point I had enough and other players dropped it too.

I'm sure there will be more =I=munda in store though! Just a new set up.

Sorry to hear that, Hammers stuff is a great source of inspiration to me along with your own. Also, Hammer, I must have those puppies in your avatar. Their cuteness alone could destroy worlds!

Cheers,

Thanks for the info Mig, and I'm sad to hear that the project died. I have gleaned huge amounts of inspiration from this, and some of it will be used on models for Dark Heresy and my genestealer cultist army. Keep up your wonderful modeling, you make dakka a better place :-)

Oh we do want to see you project...keep us posted man!

@Migs; such a shame to hear that! It's really frustrating when people do that! I guess the GM got distracted with another pet project...I tend to have a similar problem. :(

They never truly die though!

Out of this failure the Legion in 40k and Apoc quantities project was born
