I'm leaving out the fourth option because it seems clear that it's going to be the Venom.

I hope they follow the Wrack art pretty close from the Codex, they're simply awesome looking. Also, the Grotesques would be cool too. I was going to convert some out of Rat Ogres but couldn't find heads.

ICs I'd like to see most would be Sliscus, but I'm hoping they come out with most of them. A new Draz would be cool too!

Metal scourges would be the ultimate GW troll move.

If there going to be wrack hanger-ons won't they have to be plastic? Besides there's so many spines, blades, and dangly bitz to throw on them.

I'd guess the Wrack hangers on are gonna end up having to be a direct order sprue, or otherwise be included in the wracks' kit.

Wonder when we'll actually get some kind of confirmation or announcement of any of this stuff. I guess early December at the earliest, if any is supposed to hit in January... ? I've already converted my own Wracks and like how they've turned out. Same for Venoms. But I'm holding off on Scourges and Razorwings/Voidravens, so I'm obviously in favor of those or any other SCs they want to make. I just hope that Scourges are 5-man boxes, same price as Hellions, and actually have 2 of every gun option. Probably too muich to ask...

We'll see on the other dark eldar, word is by June... so it could be later rather than sooner.

What you reposted in the first post of the thread says... one thing Jes "wants to do is have Haemonculi passengers/hangers on the Raider but isn't sure how best to do that." That post makes no statement that "no Wrack hangers"... unless you've read something else.

I had read from other sources which had made it sound more like they had been done but that Jes "was still looking for a place to release the wrack" hangers on. Going from your initial repost it could go either way but other people made it out different than your "no wrack hangers."

If they've been sculpted that says to me that they would be released. That the models would either be released on their own or very easily just included in the Wrack box set, which would be easy enough given the few upgrade options.

Let us assume troop box set for wracks will be plastic. The unit's far fewer options and variety would mean a smaller number of required parts, that if wracks are on the same sized sprue as warriors and wyches that seemingly lower part count would leave room for more models, but with the unit cap at 10, it doesn't leave too many options for filling out the sprue. So GW will either need to figure out how to fill out the sprue or it would be rather empty.

Could be cool to include 1 or 2 on the sprues of wracks and grotestques like rippers or scarabs were on nid and cron sprues. That way those who really wanted them could probably get a hold of em on ebay and bitz markets.

thats incedibley plausible. let us take a look at the skaven range the rat ogers are in the same box as the giant rats. and those who will use wracks will almost secertanly use grotesque. but i have an idea too make my wracks/grotesque unique just like my characters just check out my threat for the idea and for hopefully more painted models

Especially since you'd need to buy Wracks anyways to make use of the Wrack hangers-on.

But then, even if Wracks aren't released as hangers on, I imagine it would be an easy process to convert the warriors or wyches into wracks (if they are plastic).

Plus given the production timeframes it's likely that he was already well aware of all of the kits that are going to be released next year. It's not like they're still putting these kits together.

That there "isn't another suitable release" is only the chicken to the egg in this situation... are they looking for a way to release them so they can "work on them"... or are they working on finding a way to release them because they've made the sculpts.

Well, if Talos or Chronos are plastic, they could be realeased in those kits. . .I suppose.

I don't see why they would release Wrack "hangers" if they aren't also considering bringing them out for Incubi and Grotesque's too (all 3 would make an awesome set).
Doing it for some non-troop FOC units but not others seems odd.

Except that Wracks can be troops in any army with a Haemonculus.
Having said that, I'd really like Incubi hangers-on.

I heard this week that there will NOT be a Battleforce for Dark Eldar, probably because of a similar issue as with Daemons and the four Chaos powers. Given that a lot of DE players are Wyches only or Kabalites only, a mixed Battleforce might not be the seller they'd need it to be to be worthwhile. And of course, shelf space in mostly small GW stores is always an issue when they decide whether or not to produce another large box and may have factored in here as well.

@fatty Cheap... cheap... cheap is realizing whatever cost advantage you get on ordering from discount stores are cumulative to the one the battleforce gives you... if a battleforce saves 15% and a discount place give you 20% off of that... you've saved 32%.

I agree compared to other GW they are reasonably priced.

your mth confusses me but that could be the wiskey. 15 + 20 = 32?

Because a 15% savings on a battleforces leaves you with 85% of the total of the individual items' prices and a discounter will give you an additional 20%, which is 20% of the 85%, not 20% off the total of the individual items' prices.

So at 15% its ~$100 for $120 worth of minis... but the store buys it based on the $100 price not the $120 price... so he gives a 20% discount on the $100... bringing it to $80 about 32-33% off the $120 value.

Even better is when you can skip all that and relish in the wholesale prices.

There will be a Battleforce.

Some staff got all excited about it when it popped up.
