I can indeed read. I just wanted further clarification because I prefer my idea. Why not have both? The characters' actual weapons wouldn't be of much use against anything except another mini or maybe very small animals...
In other words, the mini's are going to have to improvise weaponry from household objects in order to have an advantage over each side/humans/bigger animals...

Yes airsoft weapons are very dangorous and hurt like hell if you get shot without proper protection. My sniper will do that with protection. So if airsoft weapons are included, lets keep the PSI for safety to the nerd below 500. A basic T-shirt can block 300 and lower a thermal shirt about 500 and lower. 600 and lower is a thermal shirt and a sweater. Even then it hurts. (And 600 will tear right through plastic models. Trust me.)
