One of mine drank out of a mithril silver pot when he was a kitten. Had no ill effect but he did do a silver poop later.
It was amazing and disgusting in equal measures.

I can't remember the last timed I LOLed so much! This is really a thread to remember!
I can almost imagine my cat painted up like an Orc... and if used as a hill, in Storm of Magic games it can be a great way to demonstrate how Ribauld's Retroactive Illusion works!
Well maybe I can't picture my cat in Goblin Green after all...

I used to let one of my cats roll for me. She rolls way more sixes than I do. But after a while she lost interest in the dice. D:

Artemis doesn't care about modelling, unless the miss is doing it, luna, however, takes it upon herself to always knock it out of my hands, not play with it, just knock it down, like she means business. I usually pull out my scouts when I model, as a distraction, so I can model in peace.
Inb4 I named my cats after the cats from sailor moon(I did).

Yep, I used the scouts from my battleforce, since I only got 4, and I wouldn't use them anyway. The measuring sticks might work too, if you have a tape measure or ruler already.

Airbrushing a cat... I think you will have to tie the cat up before attempting that. And wear very thick gloves.

Also Cornish Rexes were bred for cat painting convenience.

Just make sure it doesn't happen too often as GW paints contain lead (dun dun dun). My cat once attacked the air cord of my airbrush dropping on her the equivalent of a pot of Scab Red, she still doesn't get close to the bath when she is in my arms.

If there is lead in any Citadel paints I have yet to have a pot with a nice big warning label on lt.
If GW are putting lead in paints and not telling would think that would be seriously frowned upon by the authorities.
It is not going to be the case. Unless you have definite proof?

THis was linked to in an old thread about paints:
http://www.canada.com/topics/bodyandhealth/story.html?id=12e6db82-4890-43fd-af14-1e24a379c46e
never heard anything more about it however, whether it was contamination in the testing process, the packaging plant or whatever.

Thanks for that Norsehawk.
Sorry to make such an amusing thread serious.
My paints have AP and CE symbols.
CE marking is a declaration by the manufacturer that the product meets all the appropriate provisions of the relevant legislation implementing certain European Directives. CE marking gives companies easier access into the European market to sell their products without adaptation or rechecking. The initials "CE" do not stand for any specific words but are a declaration by the manufacturer that his product meets the requirements of the applicable European Directive(s).
For the AP marking cf:
http://www.acminet.org/Safety.htm
Have seen web comments about ASTM standards so in the USA it should have this on the label?
What does Conforms to ASTM D-4236 on your packaging mean?
ASTM stands for American Society for Testing and Materials Standards. ASTM D-4236 is a labeling practice for products that contain art materials. An evaluation is to be conducted by a board-certified toxicologist. The evaluation ensures that the product is not expected to pose any significant chronic adverse health effects to humans via ingestion or skin contact when the products are used as intended or under circumstances involving reasonable foreseeable misuse. As according to the U.S. Product Safety Commission "Parents and others buying art materials, school supplies and toys such as crayons, paint sets, or modeling clay should be alert and purchase only those products which are accompanied by the statement Conforms to ASTM D-4236."
All in all I would say that there is likely to be no problem with Citadel paints. Not sure what the penalties are for contavening the regs but would not like to be in GW's boots if they did.
HTH

For what it is worth the CE logo has been tainted somewhat recently by Chinese manufacturers also using CE on thier products. The premise for this is that it stands for "China Export" rather than "Conformité Européenne" in Europe. Suposedly the Chinese version is spaced differantly but in effect they use the same mark.
Re the Cat/paint issue. Has anyone tried soaking their decorated felines in Simple Green overnight? Should remove all unsightly paintjobs and probably hair.
