I got a rhino chassis for 19 bucks.

1 brooldlord
3 Tyranid warriors
21 Gaunts
20 hormagaunts
2 ripper swarms
1 biovore, with spore mines
21 genestealers

For £40.

By comparison, the GW Battalion contains;
3 Warriors
16 Horagaunts
16 Termagaunts
8 Genestealers

And weighs in with an impressive £70 price tag. A quick bit of maths suggests the rest of the items comes to around £50 or so, so roughly 1/3 retail.

It also comes with a Codex, but despite what the listing says, I'm pretty sure it's not the new one.

I had a double dose of awesome today.

4 assembled SoB Rhinos and 2 Immolators for $130.

But here is the kicker. I got a message back after the buy saying that I was being refunded 25 worth of shipping because the seller made an error with it, and that they were sorry for the problem.

That guy is a total win.

I am new with only a 500pt army, luckily I managed to buy about half of it on ebay for £10, which include rulebook,kroot squad and battlesuit commander!

I'm actually a terrible eBayer, but I got this from a guy at my flgs for like 100 dollars...

There is a partially assembled defiler missing from this picture, and 16 Khorne Berserkers painted in Iron Warriors colors that he found hidden in the store (he knew they were a part of the lot, but they weren't with the lot).

It also came with the 3rd edition Codex (where the force org was legal lol, it's not legal with everything on the table, but it is several thousand points under the current codex.

First of all, that's insane. You could easily sell this stuff off for at least triple the price, good job!

As for that model, he's one of the 2nd edition Chaos Space Marine models. The Chaos Space Marine powerfists looked a lot different (and way cooler, if you ask me) in 2nd edition.

I also have this exact model here:

£70 including postage for two tactical squads, two assault squads, two rhinos, a sternguard squad, a tactical terminator squad, chaplain cassius, a scout sniper squad, a dreadnaught, a drop pod, a commander and a command squad was pretty good.

Most of it still on the sprue, although the commander, terminators, dreadnaught and some tactical marines had literally been dunked in mithril silver - but the thicker the paint job, the easier it is to remove...

Would have been £290 new. Of course, I have a lot of the stuff already, but I saw it as a good source of conversion material, and I can probably sell half of it on and make my money back...

Trick with ebay is to make calculated guesses based on the listings that don't describe their contents very well and have unclear photos. The photo for this one only showed about half of what the box actually contained, so I risked it and got a good deal!

I thought about selling them... But I don't think I could bring myself to sell my 2 painted 40k armies...

Like the price would have be insane to really be like "HELLS YEAH I'LL SELL"

Saw that auction pop up, but passed since they were old style and wouldn't fit with my army. It was a good steal though

It was pretty easy for me. My other Sisters were stolen so I'm at nothing.

A littl OT, is that model desired by people? I think I have one kicking around somewhere

The best deal I got was over 100 Marines with army transport for $99. It had everything from jump infantry to command squad.

Not particularly, as far as I know. The RT Chaos Marines are the ones that a lot of people like (plus they're rare) and it's not uncommon for them to go for at least $10 a model. The 2nd edition ones I would place at about $5 a model.

The new Skaven battalion, Lord SKrolk, extra box of plague monks and the new screaming bell kit for £65. Painted em all up and sold them for £330.

I've just won the old Forge World show only Thunderbolt Pilot for £18...

Fairly expensive for a single model but I've been after that damned thing for ages!

0.0 I got the same mini for £6 from the site a few months ago. The seller had a half dozen for sale too (I mentioned it on here at the time to see if anyone was interested).
