that said, the incursion into commorragh very quickly turned from a defensive fight into an offensive one. even when the DE defend, they tend to attack quickly and strike in waves. the marines in that fight very quickly found themselves surrounded, and under siege from m ultiple unit types and directions, the counter attack also forced the marines to run like no tomorrow to get out in time. kinda brings new meaning to the term GTFO!!!!!!

however i will agree that its feasable they raided an area, gained control of a bunker annex or fortress, then get counter attacked by responding space marines or whatever. we assume the battle on the table picks up at the start of the "event" but it very well could be the middle, or even end of a much larger scenario or narrative.

heck you could even find reasonable fluff for tyranids ro have a fortress in their lists.
