So... I actually got to the point where I completed my core KD collection (zoomable, in case that isn't obvious). I also posted some notes on my blog, along with the collage, broken down into possibly more scree-friendly sizes.

Wow man. That is the first Gorm I have seen that I actually liked. Moving the left hand a bit there really made a huge difference, as well as the emphasis on the light lure on his head. Goddamn... I am totally trying that when I get mine!

The big collection is also massively impressive! Too much to take in this quickly, it deserves closer study.

Thanks! Yeah, I only got the Gorm because of its mechanics, I thought the model was possibly the worst of the first KS. But, I felt painting it was pretty nice, since it's got a lot of large, flat surfaces.

I've considered actually revising it a little more and giving it some kind or war paint on its sides to break up some of the space (the fluff implies they're capable of basic crafting), but I think that the texture might be enough...

Love the Gorm - very nicely done. The subtle change of the front legs works well - always thought the front legs/hands sculpting on the model was a little weak/off

Thanks! Yeah, I feel like so often it's a minor change that gives a model a little dynamism.

Just finished my Dragon King, plus a fun little photoshop job for its campaign. (notes, as usual)

Not enough superlatives in vocabulary... you are definitely the best painter on dakka in my book. There are people who do better blends, super intricate freehand or skillful airbrushing... but none who handle light & shadow like you do!

Thanks! I guess what I like really shows: I love playing with color and composition, but find getting perfectly smooth models loses a bit of its character and usually isn't worth the effort. I do actually like the result detail work, my own and others', but I tend to get bored during the execution

After a long delay, a few more unusual survivors, since orange light isn't the only way to do things (notes)

Love your more dynamic Butcher! It certainly captures what he's like in-game better.

I don't know, but it smells...

Wow your lighting effects are superb, as is the choice of colours. Lovely.

It's not big, it's not clever, but let's do it anyway.

aku, yeah, I feel like a lot of the KD models don't really capture the dynamism of their rules. I've already done a lot of cutting on my Manhunter and Spidicules...

Also, a scenario I put together:

Nice job on the Spidicules!
Mine remains half assembled until I can figure out where to store him.

And I am absolutely in love with those super colourful Silk Survivors (it's my favourite armour kit).

I'll definitely be giving that custom Gorm fight a whirl too.

Thanks! Yeah, the spidicules armor is one of my favorite styles; too bad it isn't the best in-game.

I hope you enjoy the scenario! Nothing revolutionary, but I think it's pretty fun.
