Subject: Re:KICKSTARTER: Fire Team Zero- FUNDED, stretch goals, and PILES OF PLASTIC.
Received an update from this thing today (I went in for $1, so I'm getting the updates, though usually I just file them as they arrive.)
Everyone should have received an invitation to the Fundafull Pledge Manager via email several months ago, shortly after the KS ended. If you didn't, you can go here to get one:
https://www.fundafull.com/welcome?projectId=30 Or, you can send a message to us from the Kickstarter page and we'll make sure we get one out to you. Please note that you must access the Pledge Manager at least once to lock your order and verify your address.
Hm... so I'm welcome to add to my pledge/jump on board via the Pledge Manager? For this KS that's now 3 months late? Very kind of them.
But on the actual progress:
In a nutshell...we're on schedule and things are running smoothly. We do expect to have issues here and there as we keep plowing through production, but we'll let you know if anything happens that might change the ship date.
Apparently they have a schedule and a ship date. Now, as I said above - I haven't really been paying attention, but I found their claims of being on schedule and having a ship date pretty amusing in light of their initial, misleading statements and the fact that it's 3 months past those. Hm, maybe I won't jump on board via their PM.
3 months is nothing, at least they are keeping you up to date and making improvements such as the Fetch miniature info they provided in the update.
Don't jump on the PM, it is your choice. Blasting this KS that is still providing info and comments is far better than others that are even later than this with less progress.

So, let me get this straight...
You pledged $1 to get emails which you don't even bother to look at, and now feel that your 2 cents worth of opinion is valuable?

Of course my opinion is valuable . Does the amount of money dropped into a hole somehow make someone's opinion more valuable than another's by the proportion thrown down that hole?
I'm suggesting that this KS has sadly been untrustworthy from Day 1, when the creator quietly admitted that his fulfilment date was unlikely.

@Manchu: Sorry about missing the update comments! You raise a good point. We are doing a lot on the backend to pre-stage, but this date may simply be too optimistic. We have been in planning with our manufacturer (we're using Panda if you guys are curious), since we funded, so if it looks like we need to make changes we'll update everyone right away.
However! No matter what happens with the date, we will move mountains to ship as early as possible!
Seeing them launch a second KS, and then invite people to jump on board the PM for the first 3 months after the initial ship date (aka "we need more money") are what I'd politely call warning signs. Comparing a badly-run KS to worse ones isn't exactly a vote of confidence, either, Ernster. But really, it's the info quoted above that makes me feel these are guy not trustworthy. Knowingly lying to backers on Day 1 for a KS isn't something that should be defended or applauded.

Interesting.
You base your judgement on the integrity of a Kickstarter entirely by the estimated delivery date, yet its been known since 2012 that roughly 75% of ALL funded Kickstarter projects don't meet their estimated delivery date.
I can see by the depth of your due diligence that you are an astute fellow.
My doctor friend in Nigeria has an amazing investment opportunity that might interest you.

Somehow I'm not at all surprised that you think that you have a Doctor friend in Nigeria, if you think that knowingly lying about the delivery date from Day 1 shows any kind of integrity. I'm only surprised that your Doctor friend isn't also a Prince.
Then again, looking at your username, it all kinda fits.
FWIW the reply I got regarding the estimated delivery date made me pull my pledge. It's too early to say if my concern was totally warranted. While it was certainly irresponsible to claim there was even a chance at delivering this in seven months, anyone who believed that in the first place needs a little heartbreak to temper their naivete.

Perhaps, and your reply certainly stopped me from putting my money into this thing as well, but it also shows an ugly willingness to deceive from the very beginning - and as Sining said, it's on the creators to give realistic deadlines and attempt to meet them.
