I... actually don't know. Help?

I'm planning to expand my Chaos forces with a thousand points, and to start a Necron force.

To Valhall! ~2800 points

I've just bought a small Eldar army so will be looking to build that up further!

I also am thinking about slowly but surely replacing my Blood Angels tac marines and terminators which are from AOBR to the new kits...slowly but surely.

Aside from that putting Fantasy stuff on the backburner, maybe sell my Skaven but who knows!

I want to paint my 2000+ point 'nid army by February, when I start work in a new job, and see if I can't find some sort of regular gaming group here in West London.

I also want to get serious about painting, because I've not improved enough in the last 5 years for my liking.

Get rid of my 40k Necron army. Use the money for something important (a newer car) and never buy any overpriced GW drek ever again.
Build and play the USMC starter army for Bolt Action I bought on New Year's Day.
Play and collect as much X-wing as possible.
Continue playing the FFG Star Wars RPG.
Give Star Wars Armada a try.

Would love to get round to playing in more events this year, inc. Infinity ITS and hopefully a SAGA one in February as well.

Would love to see this war of the roses battle.

Could use the same models to play kings of war?

I'm seriously considering quitting. I've barely had time to play games,I still paint the odd model but it's going slow. I wanted to paint up two 15mm WW2 forces (British and German) to play games with mates... but it's taken me several months to paint only 6 tanks and a handful of infantry which isn't even enough to play a game and so now I'm losing motivation on it. Given most my day to day work is in front of a computer (well, it varies, sometimes I get out and about, but mostly just computer) I want to take up hobbies that get me off my arse, not spending even more time on it.

The gaming mates I have I see outside of wargaming anyway so it's not like I'll be losing any friends.

We'll see though, I haven't made any resolutions yet to quit the hobby, just considering it.

I found coloured sprays like the plastic solider company ones help a great deal.if you spray the bad coat then pick out the details that's the majority of the work done.

I actually already have an airbrush to apply base coats, in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really speed up my painting, if anything it slows me down. Before I had the airbrush I'd prime white and then using a large brush with a heavily watered down paint as the basecoat, which only took a couple of minutes per model anyway and gave me a bit of initial shading. Now that I'm airbrushing the basecoat I end up spending more time doing airbrushed shades and highlights which takes a lot longer

But I find the time consuming parts to be initially constructing the models and then after the basecoat is done, doing all the shading/highlighting/detailing.

I'm in a bit of a quandary... I think I want to get my Infinity O:I stuff painted and played, but just feel like I've hit a dead-end on the whole hobby. Hopefully it's just a post-Crimbo lull and I'll perk back up!

I really want to get into Android Netrunner and play more board games. Specifically Lovecraft/Cthulhu inspired stuff.

However, outside of my occasional foray to the NWGC I don't have a gaming group anymore, and the only other person I know who digs Lovecraft finds gaming hilariously sad.

I enjoyed my last WHFB tournament weekend in November, but I think I've had enough of that lot for a while. I don't like my army and really CBA starting ANOTHER one.

I'm a full edition behind on my Marines in 40k despite getting back into the hobby in 2011 or so.

So yeah, that all reads as a massive BAH! HUMBUG! Jeeeez.

I need a new painting lamp, so let's start from there...

For Christmas, I got the final piece to my Convergence army, now I need to finish my Khador. Also, my Fiance got Maliefaux for Christmas so I'll be getting into that this year.

Ive decided to add one more resolution.

Paint at least twice as much as I buy. Preferably a higher percentage than that but I don't want to add to my backlog without making a serious dent into it.

^What Carlos said. Maybe. I want to at least maintain a more positive ratio than last year.

I've resolved to make a stab at 365 models over the course of the year. I'll likely fail, but I'll damn well try Hopefully I buy must less than half that many but we'll see

I go into a little more detail in my blog, but here are my 2015 gaming resolutions:

1 Finish painting the odds and ends from my friend's SOB army that I worked on. Just a handfull of arcoflagelents, spare immolater weapons, some IG HQs .
2 Paint more then I buy.
3 Make a display board for my army. I've had the sheets of foam insulation waiting to be carved for years, never get around to it.
4 Base my army. Someday this will happen.
5 Paint my spare bits. I've magetized a number of things, painted the primary set up, but never get around to doing the other options.
6 Try to get more games in.
7 Update my blog at least once a week, and maintain a consistent pace of work (1 mini a week).
8 Get my Eldar army to a playable level, 1,000 points minumum, with 1,500 or 1,850 being stretch goals.

I’ve been refining these goals for the last two years. #8 is new for this year. Hopefully I can actually cross some off (1,3, and 4 have been there for far too long)

I've got a couple of hobby plans this year:

Finish painting my Lizardmen - I have 1 steg, 100 lizardmen, a slaan, and a couple of heros. I'm using army painter so it shouldn't be too bad - they are all base coated.
Finish painting my Warriors of Chaos - I've got 12 more warriors and free hand banners to paint. Then I've got 2 chariots, 3 blood crushers, and the 3 headed monster to paint. I've based coated all but the monster and chariots.
Finish painting my space wolves - I've got 20 grey hunters to finish and I should be done.
Finish painting my salamanders - I've got 2 tactical squads (unprimed)
I've got some warmahordes (Cygnar/Skorne) stuff to paint but I'm not in any hurry because nobody cares if they get painted in my group.

Essentially, I don't plan on buying anything other than paints, basing materials, and glue for the rest of the year.
