We should have some images for you soon showing the size of these miniatures next to a scale. We say that these are 28mm scale, but what does that really mean in this modern age compared to other 28mm scales?

We also appreciate suggestions on what you may like to see from us regarding new miniatures.

We are in the process of creating female warriors that span every genre, from fantasy to sci-fi. Our focus will be to deliver extremely realistic female warriors that actually look like warriors. No bikini clad armored babes. We want to continue creating truly unique looks for all our miniatures, but always factor in the brutal realities that actually occur in these war settings. No sugar coating here.

We are also working on some turret systems that could be used for some other game vehicles... but more on that soon.

Regards,

Tomek

On topic, I think the scupt quality of Manufaktura Miniatures is great. Their future plans for more female models, both as wargaming pieces and whatever other kind of miniatures they want and choose to produce also sounds great.

Aye. Looking forward to whatever they come up with. Though I hope they expand on their current line. There are some companies doing stuff like that, but these seem to be the best-looking so far. Just needs a bit more variation in posture.

However, that Eldar scene is downright disturbing, and makes me seriously question the character of the painter / composer.

Oh please, stop being so melodramatic. So you also question the character of any painter, filmmaker, novelist, poet, sculpter, songwriter, musician or any other type of artist who chooses to depict explicit, dark, adult things in their work, I take it? Art imitates life, always has, always will.
A person's character informs the art they create. For example, Mel Gibson would not have created The Passion of the Christ or Hacksaw Ridge if he wasn't a deeply troubled devout Catholic with a strained relationship to his father.

I suppose anyone producing art depicting the horrors of war or human suffering in general has their character questioned by you.

Does Picasso's Guernica make you question his character?

Do you plan on doing anything alien like. Something like Aliens/Tyranids or just space creatures? I am sure you can do the horror of aliens quite well.

Or will this all be non sci fi and non fantasy related but more real life and in todays world?

Thank you all for the interest and feedback.

We have been hard at work over the past two weeks, so we hope we can answer all the questions on this forum over the next couple of days.

In the meantime, here is a sneak peek at our next Sub Series miniature to be released in 2017, the xx08.

Another update.

We will have the xx03-xx07 miniatures ready for release in about 2-3 weeks.

Our partner at Blackwater's Miniatures will be selling these first, for we are still working through some issues with our current payment processor for our website, which hopefully should be rectified by the end of December.

We are also working through the problem of shipping international for an affordable rate while still abiding by our payment processors rules of providing tracking. The United States Postal Service does not offer cheap tracking on any of their products, and sadly, paypal requires a tracking number to protect us from non-delivery claims... which sadly happens more than people realize.

We have gotten feedback from some of our customers that Blackwater's Miniatures does not offer affordable international shipping. Sadly, they are in the same position as us, for ebay & paypal require tracking to fully protect sellers from non-delivery claims.

I have spoken at lengths with the owner of the store, and if you are desperate for these miniatures and live outside the US, please PM me, and I will get you in contact with the owner, for he may be able to work out something cheaper away from ebay. They are 100% trustworthy, and have always been a pleasure to deal with over the years I have purchased items from them. Check out their 100% feedback!

Their Ebay store can be found here: http://stores.ebay.com/Blackwaters-Miniatures/Manufaktura-Miniatures-/_i.html?_fsub=1622441619&_sid=359765019&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322

Not too thrilled about xx08. If you call it sub series, maybe throw in more chains and rope, rather than a fruit basket. Quality seems to be top notch though.

Meh, I would find it hard to justify these minis for any reason, but that's me.

Overall, I feel these are a bit counterproductive to the image of gamer guys.

Are there any batch deals for these minis?

I'd like a few of the different body styles, and different poses.

Additionally, are there any clothed miniatures, or different styled/ posed figures available?

If people are intent on judging based on stereotypes, that's their issue IMO. Nude, risque photoshoots aren't taken as an indication that all photographers are ebil perverts, and most sane people would not judge all art based on fetish comics. Most rational people wouldn't even judge the people who enjoy consuming such media, providing it's legal. Why then must MM or Vinnie or whoever else be considered personally responsible for the collective reputation of all miniature painters/tabletop gamers, and we for their works?

And further, is the assumption that only men would find nude fetish art appealing not itself "a bit counterproductive" to our "image"? The other side of the drooling sex-pest nerd coin is the princess-saving White Knight nerd, for they share in common the idea that women are Other, are lesser, to be either exploited or protected but in neither case trusted or respected enough to have their own views.

I need to acquire plastic Skavenslaves, can you help?
I have a blog now, evidently. Featuring the Alternative Mordheim Model Megalist.

"The language of modern British politics is meant to sound benign. But words do not mean what they seem to mean. 'Reform' actually means 'cut' or 'end'. 'Flexibility' really means 'exploit'. 'Prudence' really means 'don't invest'. And 'efficient'? That means whatever you want it to mean, usually 'cut'. All really mean 'keep wages low for the masses, taxes low for the rich, profits high for the corporations, and accept the decline in public services and amenities this will cause'." - Robin McAlpine from Common Weal

Let's stay on topic, please - discussion of this particular manufacturer and these miniatures only (not a more general "nudity in miniatures" discussion, which belongs in Dakka Discussions).

Feel free to start a thread over there and link to it here if you do want to have a more general discussion!

It's nice to see I was singled out for moderation while others have been left to post freely - sometimes in reply to my posts (to which any reply I might make is effectively pre-emptively censored). What a good thread.

I'll again repeat the futility of allowing discussion of "these miniatures only" - which are nude - whilst banning further/general discussion of nudity in miniatures. An oxymoron, by all accounts. Oh, well...

Rather then worry about the subtext, worry about the technical aspect of that figure. If the company can get down to the brass tacks on the particulars of a subject you don't like, chastising them is not going to push any harder to a subject that you will like, or would want.

Personally I am highly impressed with the technical aspect of those figures. If You could get that top quality of sculpt to other forms, such as a girl with her cloths on with a pistol in her hand, or a sword/ machinegun combo I would be a customer of several, plus those that are already sculpted.

Asked a couple of times about bundle deals, am highly interested in a few of these figures for other purposes that I would need multiples.

Zero flash, Zero mis-sculpts, zero bubbles... I'm interested, then we can talk about more of the selection adds of the figure line, such as the added Weapons, the chains, or different poses.

Thank you all for the feedback.

We are in the process of planning out possible bundle packs. The issue that we are having is that our customers seems to have very specific tastes in miniatures, and may only purchase one or two from our line that suits their purposes. Choosing which miniatures we bundle may be difficult due to that fact, so we will probably test out some combinations in early 2017.

What combinations would you like to see for the bundles packs?

We are still a very new company, so I expect that as our product line grows along with sales, we will be able to offer better pricing and deals as time goes on.

We currently have released 7 miniatures from our Sub Series line, and are in the works for another 3-4 for early 2017. These will continue to be NSFW and explicit in nature.

We are also working on our Mercenary Series, which will focus solely on some extremely unique sculpts of mercenary women throughout many genres. These will not be pinup soldier girls, but rather dark and seasoned warriors who will be truly feared on the battlefield.

Our Structure / Vehicle Series is also being fleshed out, so be prepared to see our defensive turrets for our 40k fans very soon.

Regards,

Tomek

Well, obviously, there should be a "get all"-option for every range. There's only the sub series out right now, so that would be a start.

You could also make something like "buy 4 get 1 free"-deals where people would just pick the miniatures they like for themselves. That should work for a start.

I would be interested in a 3 figure batch, as well. The bundle would be along the likes of 3 figures, different poses, and body styles.

Easy for you, easy for choice. Easy choices make for munnies. I'd like a few of your figures, but getting some of these one at a time when I need around 10-15 doesn't make me want to run for my wallet.

I second the Warmachine/ Hordes styles. Pirate, Soviet/ era with steampunk bits, Undead with steampunk bits, Wildling with animal bits.

Your sculpting is absolutely stunning, do you do custom jobs?

I'd like to discuss a 10 woman squad each of North Firm Birdies, Loco Barrio Chica's, and Black Harlem Hustlers. I have some more ideas, but this is just an opener.

In regards to the questions about bundle packs, we are still working through a strategy to implement such packs for the future.

Unfortunately, it seems that our customers don't really have a pattern when it comes to purchasing multiple miniatures. For instance, one will purchase xx04-07, but the next will instead get xx04/05/07, while the next will get xx01/03/06. It is really unpredictable.

Tomek

Want all. But i'm still hoping you find other shipping solutions. I dont like the shipping policies of your current distributor, ie. High initial shipping then a fixed additional cost for each item after. If i bought everything i wanted (all the figures) it would cost around $40 Canadian just for the shipping!

Still, maybe some day far in the future i will be able to justify a purchase.
