Quick and dirty still tops my best seconding youwashock, the scion heads and fist make for a subtle yet striking conversion. Biker shotgun bit is also such a good one - great job!

These were a lot of fun to paint. As a result the process went very quickly, up until the detailing which I spent a lot longer than expected and intended because I was having so much fun! So my hat’s off to the miniature designers for that! I do think they’re better without those little shields on the assault bolters tho

They do look awesome. I agree leaving the shield off looks better.

Briefly back to Blood Angels. I dread to think how long ago I started this model. Five years maybe. And I finished it today

Danke!

And now, without much further ado, the Space Marine equivalent of the US Army Bradley IFV.

This was a funny project. It went from nothing to almost finished in four hours, and then I spent probably three times that long detailing and weathering it – but at the same time trying to keep the weathering subtle. I figured it would be good practice for the relic vehicles I will be painting in the future.

I loved this model when I first saw it, but I felt my buddy Legofingerz improved it even further with his excellent conversion, so I did what all good artists do when they see a great idea. I stole it.

Both fantastic examples of paintwork, but that chaplain is an outstanding piece. The little aquilas on his prayer strips...just too good.

Wow Luthermax your painting skills are inspiring!

Especially the Xiphon Interceptors, the cockpits are fantastic.
I was going to paint my cockpits of my Vipers in my blog but after seeing your interceptors I might have to rethink that.

I am amazed you could glaze the cockpit windows so well without the colour dispersing the sides and corners.

Bloody well done!

Thanks for the comments!

@ Evil-D, the cockpit glass was super easy! I sprayed the inside with Daler Rowney FW Acrylic Ink using an airbrush. I think the colour was ‘Dark Green’ but it’s quite blue-y. Then around the lower / rear edges I used a dark grey-green paint to make it more opaque. The pilot is just painted black and sprayed White from in front.

I agree that your color scheme suits these particular models to a T. Great group. I don't know Issodon from Adam, but it seems that most versions of him are understated compared to other characters. Interesting.

Today I painted up a Cullexus Assassin for a friend of mine. I will be doing the other Assassins too at some point. First time I've ever started and finished a model on the same day!

It’s been a while since I posted but I’ve not been idle – far from it in fact! I’m working on several projects, some of which have required stripping and repainting several times. More on that later, but meantime I’ve been chipping away at Lieutenant Runnik, who was started probably over a year ago and is only now complete…

Runnik looks ace Luther! Still can't believe you gave up the BA army but given how well these guys are turning out it does take the edge off the betrayal Keep cranking them out!
