Everything is looking very fine, I hope conquest comes over to Canada at some point, I really want some of these models!

I'm hanging for Conquest to make it to Oz. I'd be an instant buy-in for me.

You're really powering your way through those Primaris marines, LTMW, and they're coming out beautifully. While i'm not a massive fan of the primaris range as a whole, it's hard to deny that yours are great.

@Commander Cain: I hope it makes it over there too, some savings to be made.

@Snrub: The latest issues do have both New Zealand and Australian dollar prices on the back, so maybe an indication that it will be making its way over to you? I was not that fond of the Primaris either, but the more I paint the more I like.

That brings me onto my Celestial Lion Spiritwalker. I decided to ignore the usual Librarian colours and am quite happy that I stuck with my main chapter colours. I was initially unsure of the red robes but I like them now. Apologies for the poor photos, it is quite overcast today and they do not do the paint job justice imo:

There you see one of the Chapter Customizer chapter symbols, am very happy with them and they arrived a lot quicker than expected. As it is I have added them to everything except the Intercessors so they are up next. Paint wise next it is more Nurgle from issues 9 and 10.

Thanks for looking.

Man, every time I see this color scheme it blows me away. You have got it down, man. This guy is no exception. He came out really well. Any plans for adding some scribbles to the purity seals or text to the right shoulder?

I've never been a fan of the blue librarians, good choice keeping your colour scheme for your spiritwalker. The red cloak looks brilliant, it works well with the gold.

@Youwasshock: I have never been a fan of scribbles on purity seals but ,as the photos will attest, I have added some script to his shoulder pad.#

@Tyranid Horde: I like the look too, thanks.

I did a bit of a clean up on the Spiritwalker and got some marginally better photos...but he still looks better in the flesh. I mainly tidied up some highlights on the helmet, cloak and added the script to his shoulder pad:

I have also completed my issue 10 Blight Hauler, nothing to really differentiate from my other three bar the addition of a rock on the base. This mini has really grown on me, quite a simple sculpt but cool to me none the less:

And a family photo:

So it is my issue 9 Poxwalkers next and then I plan to do a little issue 1-10 review.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent work all around. The spiritwalker is fantastic, I would have gone with Felix myself , but I’m just silly.

Blight haulers prove modern dentistry doesn’t survive to 40K, maybe that’s why few skulls are found with lower jaws .

What a fun batch of critters. Possibly my favorite of all the new Nurgle models. Shoulder pad script looks good!

Such a neat little group of blight haulers! The red fleshy bits are a nice choice.

That's an ace looking Libby you've knocked out there LTMW. Good choice on keeping the blue minimal. It really suits and complements the gold and red of the rest of the model.

Thanks everyone, managed to get my issue 9 Poxwalkers done marking the completion of issues 1-10. As with the original set of Poxies I did nothing special here, mainly washes and technical paints to get the desired diseased effect. This takes me to 50 painted Poxwalkers, with another 20 to come via Conquest, phew:

So here is my issues 1-10 fully painted haul, with a few added bits from my bits box. I am very happy with this lot:

Obviously the Death Guard side has the weight in numbers but maybe the Marines have the edge with two characters. Retail from GW this lot would have cost me £112 (assuming the Limited edition Lt cost £15 like the others) or £95.62 from my go to online retailer. All told this cost me £56, as I showed interest when this was first announced I got my first three issues for free so I am very happy with the savings as it is currently at 50% savings vs buying direct from GW. Bear in mind this percentage will get worse but that I have not factored paints and washes into these calculations. As it is I am currently very happy with my subscription.

So with two weeks before my next delivery I thought my Celestial Lions needed some old guard, some of the original survivors of the betrayal on Armageddon. Enter these guys:

Thanks for looking.

Nice work! Well done on keeping pace with the releases.

Are all those Marines on sprue unique, or did you get any duplicates?

I got 7, just the one duplicate being the missile launcher guy. Brother Remus is his name iirc.

Made a start on a couple of the Space Marine Heroes, first up I got Brothers Garus and Titus done. I have really enjoyed these, great and characterful sculpts.

(NB: One of the bonuses of photographing your minis is noticing the little issues you have, have tidied up some bits on these now).

Brother Titus:

Brother Garus:

I plan to get three more of these done so that I have at least a basic 5 man Tactical squad to field, I will report on my progress as it happens.

Thanks for looking.

Nice to see you're working on some of the old Tacs to represent the survivors of those Ork snipers! Good job on them and you've got a great looking collection from Conquest.

They look great , really loving your choice of doing this chapter, it was always one that caught my attention.

Too bad these veterans still have t learned about wearing helmets.

@Tyranid Horde: I owe it to them for some veterans, and I am happy with how the collection is coming along.

@Theophony: Pah! Who needs helmets when you have the protection of the Emperor!

@Youwasshock: My thoughts on them exactly, I need to get into gear and get the full unit painted up.

Today was delivery day of issues 11-14:

All told miniature wise it is:

3 Easy To Build Flamestorm Aggressors.
1 Foul Blightspawn
1 Munitorum Container sprue

Also got a:

Large Drybrush
Pot of Mechanicus standard grey
Painting Handle

All told an rrp of £57 odd for just under £32.

Enough waffle, here are the goodies:

The magazines themselves are on the up as well, with better background information, more detailed rules and proper 40k datasheets as of issue 13.

Hobbywise I am off work for the next 10 days so plan on knocking out my latest additions quickly.

Thanks for looking.

I think this is quite possibly the best thing GW has ever done. If I was still playing 40K I’d be all over this...if I was in the UK as well . I’m sure eventually this will get rolled out across the globe, but I am envious of the supplies that are available in the magazine with the paints and brushes and handle .

Have fun with your 10 days off, can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Managed to get a nice bit of hobby time in during my time off, some nice productivity and getting things done.

Non Conquest wise I got another three of the Space Marine heroes done, so I now have a 5 man Tactical unit:

I am happy with these guys, I added quite a bit of my usual sand and gravel mix to help the sculpted bases mix in with my other bases. I have another 5 to paint up to create a full 10 man unit. Those are *probably* next on my to do list.

So now onto Conquest, first up is my Foul Blightspawn. I already have one painted up so used a head from the Deathshroud kit to differentiate him a bit. So here he is:

And here he is with his partner in crime:

I think these boys are potentially a lot of fun in game, their gun is a 9" range, D6 shots with a strength of 2D6. So a lot of potential to be very damaging or nothing at all, 6 strength 12 shots or potentially 1 strength 2 shot. I am happy with the minor kitbash.

I also got my 3 Flamer ETB Aggressors painted up, I actually have another of this issue and plan to make the unit up to a 5 man. the Aggressors have really grown on me and again I am happy with these guys. The bare head is from the multi part Aggressor kit, I am using them to differentiate the other sculpts as I have another set of these as I want to make a 5 man unit.

Finally is the Munitorum Container and associated gubbins, nothing dramatic here just a base coat, drybrush and a bit of detailing followed by some Imperial Guard tank transfers for numbers. The main colour is Incubi Darkness with a drybrush of Thunderhawk blue:

As ever, thanks for looking.

Top stuff, really like the Tactical squad and the DG character is delightfully gruesome.

Cheers Para, I like the Deathshroud head on him with the fleshy tube as a mouth. It is not as good as the Plague doctor esque head of the original but I wanted to differentiate the two.

Have gone on a bit of a tangent and started work on the terrain from the Kill Team boxed set. Have also treated myself to the Primaris Interdiction Force on pre order this week, always good to add minis to the pile!

You've a great haul from Conquest and I'm regretting not getting the subscription now!

Great looking set of Vets and the headswaps help to break up the EtB sets. The boxes and crates are a neat addition, adds a lot of character to the overall subscription.

Thanks for the interest gents, apologies for the lack of updates but the retail trade and Christmas are not productive for free time for hobbying.
Anyway today was delivery day, here is the latest haul:

That is 4 issues, including a Biologus Putrifier, 2 Intercessors, 1 Inceptor, 2 Helblasters, a Munitorum Container, six dice, Rakarth flesh, Mephiston Red, another paper play mat and a space marine chapters poster. Mine appears to be defective as the Celestial Lions are not on the poster.

I have not been totally inactive as I have managed to get most of the ruins from my Kill Team boxed set painted up, just the big piece and a little wall section to go. I did not go too detailed on these but am pleased with how they came out.

And a few of the collection amongst the ruins:

Thanks for looking, a more regular service will resume once Christmas is out of the way. Thanks for looking.

Am slowly getting over the new year hump and getting back into hobbying, not much progress but I got my 2nd Conquest Munitorum Container and accessories done. This time in lurid green!

And with the accessories:

So that leaves the Biologus Putrifier and 5 various Primaris Marines to do of the latest delivery, I aim to start them tonight.

That said I also have my Christmas haul, behold:

Thanks for looking

Cheers dude, I had a bit of a 4 day break from painting due to going to a music festival but I am nearing completion of the last round of Conquest.

First up is the Biologus Putrifier, this is basically done I just need to pick up some more Nurgle's Rot as I have used the last of my old bottle. Apologies for the light on these pictures, it is a bit dark at the moment and Imgur's advanced editing feature is currently out of commission for desktop users. But here he is:

I was unsure of this mini when it first came out, but have grown to love it since getting it in hand. I especially love the tri lobed symbol of Nurgle created by the eye lenses.

Have also made progress on the Primaris contingent of my last delivery:

Not a lot left to do here, just a bit of detailing on the blue parts of the armour, the faces and the weapons to do. Hopefully I will get them done in the next couple of days.

Anyway, thanks for looking have a good time hobbying!

Woot, more sweet blue n' gold! They look good. I don't own to Chaos minis as much as I did in my youth, but that Nurgle guy is cool. Between the tri-lenses and the hypodermic snout, the mask has a ton of character.
