The average ork is younger than both the space marine AND guardsmen he's fighting!

Also Ripper swarms consume bio-mass to the point of becoming little spheres and need to be rolled into the digestion pools!

It is likely that the Zoanthrope is reconstituted Eldar, the Biovore is a reconstituted Ork and that there is a Tyranid genus based off space marine DNA, but I forget which (Lictors?).

Squigs were the results of the Hive minds first (somewhat failed) attempt to convert Ork DNA, but the Orks “rescued” them from the Tyranids.
