Ironically this is the first year in a long time that I was looking for one. My older armies are well established so I've never really been tempted to buy £100+ of stuff in one go for them, but this summer I started with Orks and deliberately stopped buying at <1500pts in case an xmas box was released. Might also have been tempted for a GSC box with the codex out almost at the same time.

When building up my nids, I made sure not to buy anything I wouldn’t want duplicates of, just in case it showed up in the big box. It’s more of a casual/fun project, so I don’t want to get too spammy. The double-dose of stealers in last year’s box was a bit more than I wanted, but they are basically free in there, so whatever.

Similar to why I’m not picking up a box or two of basic Intercessors for my company. At some point, they are going to be in a bundle. I was just hopeing it could be this year’s.

That would be useful for the dude that brought nothing but Fortifications and Assassins to a tournament.

This year's Princept maniple was the best deal they've ever done imo. I bought a couple and still regret not buying three (kinda stupid since I have enough of everything in the Princept box, but I would have still done it anyway had it not been released alongside the Warmaster, it was just such a great deal).

Agreed. The most we'll get out of CA is points changes and adjustments to secondaries, and there's more that needs fixing than that. We need a FAQ.

Right. Who knows what fresh hell could be visited upon us, but since the problem is mostly contained to artillery and flyers of specific armies it could at least settle things down a bit until more permanent fixes can be applied.

There's more that needs fixing than some artillery and flyers. For one, they need to make terrain that isn't OBSCURING actually useful. Right now it isn't, and gw knows that, because their own tournament tables just spam OBSCURING everywhere. And there's still some basic unit rules and faction specific stuff that needs fixing, and all of that requires a FAQ, not a CA.
