It almost looks like something in that vein, might be some sort of small stonethrower, perhaps mounted on some bigger creature.

The new Skinks have an alternate build that almost looks like a laser-lance. I wouldn't be shocked if this was a "thunder hammer" in all but name.

Dinosaurs with lasers and tech weapons, coming soon!

The alternate build to that also uses Atl-Atls to throw their javelins, so using a staff-based stonethrowing implement to keep in line with mesoamerican weapons and designs would also fit.

I get why it seems like too thin a haft for a Kroxigor weapon, but if the alternative is something Saurus or smaller then the haft isn't just too flimsy from an in-verse perspective but also annoyingly thin from a miniature assembly perspective.

Makes far more sense for it to be a Kroxigor sized entry into GW's history of poorly designed weapons (if it even is, considering it's clearly not wood and more than likely the same sleek dark grey rock/metal seen on the new Saurus weapons)

Agreed. I think a Skink Priest.

Nah, it's almost certainly something pretty big. You can tell by the highlight lines the size is pretty large, and there's a lot of detail on the globe -- too large for a skink.

I'm guessing Kroxigor or a new similar unit.

We already have a plastic skink priest on foot and a second one from Underworlds. Though it could be a priest that rides something, like a stegadon?

That already exists, too. Its part of the basic stegadon kit.

It could be a replacement for the one on the floating seat- the resin starseer. (Which coincidentally is now out of stock on the US store, along with a lot of saurus stuff).

That assumes that the Starseer remains rather than being phased out entirely. It's always stepped on the toes of the Troglodon, IMO, and seeing it fade out into Legends only would make it so that they can focus on palanquin being for Slaan only.

Went back to the old rumor thread, and most people had a pretty decent guess what the book/scales was.
For example, Lord Blackfang, as a rsponse to someones musings, called it for a Kharadron battle accountant

Always fun to go back and see if anyone was spot on.

It somehow reminds me of old WHFB high elves, especially Phoenix Guard, if it's imperial at all i'd wager it is for some sort of subfaction, looks too 'styled' for the mainline stuff. Possibly an event miniature, or a character / something for KillTeam.

The back grubbins look like STC stuff, so probably imperial, but could be stunties. The curved decoration doesn’t seem very IoM. Hand? Pretty high on the haft. Not a swinging grip.

It's a glove holding it, not a gauntlet which rules out quite a lot of things. I'm going to say it's Sisters of Battle.

It’s either being held “at rest”, or we’re seeing the top hand on a dual handed chopper, mid-swing.

Good call. Although with all the little KT factions, it could also be a navy breacher, arbites, or some one-off.

Hard to tell, but the angle of the hand looks a lot more like an resting grip. Other hand probably shooting a pistol or pointing/waving/making rude gestures/etc.

Gathering the Informations.

Might just be a generic release Judiciar with a more traditional executioner's axe opposed to the blade, as they have gloves over top of their gauntlets.

Though there's also been that rumor of the old "Masters of the Chapter" getting a Primaris Glow-Up, and one was the Master of Executions...
