I am jealous of how expert modelling constructors (like yourself) convert and construct models and things are straight and line up and look kinda like they belong there! which to say is it's looking great!

Haha thanks Nerdy ! In truth I do all my work at the end of a long day with some wine and there isn’t a straight line in it !!!!
Also, I like how you top end painters seem to find plasticard daunting, it’s actually turbo easier than painting a good, realistic human face !
Which you do with apparent ease !!!

Lol fair point, but there's true words you speak! I do notice that's it's rare for a hobbyist to be exceptional in both areas, they are out there but rare gems, personally i'd rather be average at both

Well hope you all properly over indulged over Christmas and have a happy and paint filled New Year !

I have more or less finished the construction of the Death Guard Spartan. It took a while but I reckon once I clean it up a bit and fill some gap with a bit of liquid greenstuff she’s good to go !

Let’s hear what you think !

Looks as brilliantly gritty and well made as i'd expect from you Biggy! I want to see it painted as beautifully not beautiful as the dread you did! that thing was simply perfect and with so much area for your weathering skills this will be a real head turner!

Looks like a good job.

I do have issues with the hinges on the outside of the tracks, but I realise it's a done thing with these models. Something I'd have to personally "fix" though.

Thanks Damo, all it needs now is a little bit of liquid greenstuff to blend all the plasticard and greenstuff together and it’s a good un. I’ll probably make a start some time this year !

Thanks Doc, I’d not noticed the hinge before but now I look it’s actually the wrong way round ! Ergghhh can’t be unseen !

Anyhow I had some parts lying around so I made another thing, needs more greenstuff but it’s kinda there, it’s a Blight plague thing gun.
Please no clever observations about recoil. It just can because chaos

Sorry. It is how it is on old Landraiders, and I'm sure many like the look. Don't know why they were done that way in the first place.

I'd have to switch the tracks around or (and I have thought of this in the past) add treads to the tracks for the tank to ride on and lift the hinges away from the surface. I've thought of as simple as a single rectangle of plasticard (probably 1.5mm) that sticks out at 90o to the track, stuck on the flats... all the way up to adding another layer of flat treads that hide the hinges; sitting flush together on the ground but splitting apart as it curves over the wheels at each end.
It's a lot of work even at it's simplest. But that's how I roll.

Still, nice work on the new tank.
I'll refrain from making any "useful" observations.
I don't actually have any.

All good points Doc, but a helleva lot of work for something that I'm assuming Little H will either drop or cram into a case that it blatantly won't fit in to !

To be honest I do kinda like the old school look, I remember them coming out in the late 80's and have always had a soft spot for them, if only they were sized to actually carry what the rules said they could !

I suspect they were done that way, as with so many things in sci-fi and fantasy games, because the designers don't go for real engineering just rule of cool. ALA the weapon on my last vehicle, no room for recoil or to load it !

Finally finished the Dwarf Bloodbowl team Little H “needed” then didn’t like the way they played.
They are bound for eBay !

Saw your Land Raider in the main gallery and followed it to this thread. Your work is excellent, very high quality. Going to go back through your older entries and going through your personal photo gallery. Subbed and looking forward to whatever you share next.

Thanks guys !
Seems like an age since I got some time to hobby, well last night I decided to paint some Tau vehicles Little H wanted for a small force he started. I got them cheaply off eBay and they were seriously badly glued up with superglue, the poor kid who had them must’ve stuck himself to them 10 times if the gluey fingerprints are anything to go by.
Anyhow, I got them done in a night and an hour this morning, nice and quick tabletop stuff but looks ok I reckon, let me know your thoughts as I’ve never painted Tau before
