I COMPLETELY disagree. This sculpt is far more dynamic and interesting.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, even if it's wrong.
By "swirly gak" I was referring to the Ynnari style levitating stuff, which this sculpt quite clearly has zero of, and it seems somewhat contradictory that you say they just need to give him a makeover when this sculpt is essentially that, yet you seem quite strongly opposed to it?
Each to their own I guess, not everyone can have taste.

Honestly, it's still priced much more fairly then those garbage Primaris clam packs. You know those guys pretending to be multi-part buy coming unassembled yet having absolutely no customize-ability out of the pack? Automatically Appended Next Post:
Fair jab but who can blame them for making things that clearly sell lol. If the scantly clad models allow them to make boutique characters like their Celestine and Abby then bring it on. And who knows, a shirtless jacked Vulcan might sell like madness lol. He clearly has that forged out of steel physique

According to canon the Space Wolves found Russ' armor in one of their hunts.
Which means that Leman Russ is wandering the galaxy COMPLETELY NAKED.
Sounds like a niche to be filled.

So my guy turned up today, thought I'd post a quick image as there'd been some questions about scale, so here's the man himself between a Calth Marine and a Contempor. Pretty happy with the scale myself, some may feel he's a little large I guess, but for a guy who was already considered a big un before all the Chaos began to grow him, he seems just dandy.

I do like that Not-Abaddon. I might have to pick him up this week, and finally grab Not-Celestine as well perhaps? Just have to swap out that swirly sword he has for a proper Drach'nyen.

I agree, new GW deathguard look to cartoonish for me anyway. Not a fan of all the sculpted on fumes and crap.
BTW got my new abbadon as well, he is perfect scale next to othere terminators IMO, hes a bit larger but not by much when you consider his base.

I'd have to see it without the base - looks pretty damn busy. It'd be a toss up between this and the new GW one (I think, honestly I prefer the older mini in metal...). Nice design work though.

That makes a nice gender-bended Abaddon. Femarine confirmed!
(From the comments I'm reading it is not supposed to be a gender-bend but it still looks like one.

A lot of small model companies use very high quality resin. Stuff like FW makes people jaded over resin imo as it's so bad.
That Typhus and Abaddon are amazing. New DG remind me of cartoons rather than brutal warriors.

Another vote of confidence for their resin here, the detail on their Celestine is superbly crisp and the model is nice and sturdy.
