So what GW is saying here is I have an excuse to buy Flash Gitz even though I have no interest in collecting an Ork army?

Alright! Off to the hobby shop I go!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

I hate their rules in proper 40k... but man the new Flash Gitz sprues are some of the coolest ones they make. Soooo many options.

I've got a couple boxes of Flash Gitz, not because they're good but because they're that darn cool.

Do we know if those cards are going to be part of the main game, or are they part of some special promotion that I'll have to jump through hoops to get?

Flashgitz are a great kit. Soooo many options to build those Snazzguns!

Certainly didn't take much convincing to get me to grab some!

I'm sure all these ammo boxes and whatnot are going to find their way onto other kits too....

I think I have 6 boxes of Flash Gitz (at least 4), the two I bought originally, plus that Badrukk box they put out, plus maybe another 2.

I know a lot of the bits are going to make their way to my regular nobs and maybe a few of the boyz.

I was thinking I'd pick up a couple more boxes of Gitz, and have ten or so less-piratey Bad Moon flash gitz and ten or so extra-piratey Freebooter flash gitz.

Is Badrukk a one-piece resin kit? I'm not interested in running him specifically, but I'm wondering if he would be good for kitbashing.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

He's four components, one of which is his backpack and another is probably his head. Not sure what, outside of his body, the other one is. Maybe his sword hand.

Either way he's pretty 'solid' and not as easy to convert as the plastic Gitz. Still, He'd make a great gang leader.

Component breakdown is spot on, the gun arm is part of the model.

He's a fun character to have. I don't play orks, but I knew I wanted him for our Rogue Trader campaign at the time, to be set up as a potential nemesis further down the line.

Judging from the pic we saw them on, these are probably (but I dearly hope I'm wrong!) part of the competitive pack for stores.

It's the same price band as Betrayal at Calth or Burning of Prospero.

I've liked Badrukk's Flash Gitz ever since the original conversion and painting article in White Dwarf, allthose long years ago.

I'm looking forward to painting some Chaos cultists and some genestealer cultists. The People's Front of Hive Acheron and the Hive Acheron People's Front.

All this talk of cults makes me want to bring out my Redemptionists. It will be a strange situation if Necromunda had one Imperial cult, the Redemption (indeed, with two gangs in the form of Cawdor and Redemptionists) whilst this has only one semi-Imperial cult (Mechanicus) and two non Imperial human cults (Genestealer and Chaos). I would love to see the return of Redemptionists to 40K.

Don't expect to see them in this game though.. As it appears to be purely focusing on the main game factions

maybe if the Neromunda, release happens latter... but otherwise it will just be using your redemption minis for either Chaos or Genestealer. (I use my in my main GSC force)

So I decided not to buy him, but then last night I saw a guy selling off his ork collection on Facebook. So now if everything goes through with the deal I'll be getting a metal Badrukk, plus probably ~3000-4000 points worth of other ork stuff. This is going to take years to paint.

So not sure if this has been posted but shadow war will go on preorder on April 1st. It will be $130 US. (probably £80) There will be free downloads to use units not included in the book. Described as being similar to Aos war scrolls. Hopefully they will do every infantry unit in 40k.

The price is a little more than I'd hoped, but not surprising considering that's been the rumored price for awhile. This is still absolutely a day one purchase for me, and basically everything I've wanted in a 40k skirmish game for 5+ years.

Free downloads for more units is icing on the cake, but I hope if that's the case they release and app to keep it all together, or even card packs later on for new model rules.

Now to decide what table to build. My Necro table will suffice in the short term, but I'd like to get into the Armageddon theme for this. Does anyone think the current 40k city ruin battle mat would work? Armageddon wasn't a red-soiled planet, was it?

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

Not sure but I am waiting on this box set with baited breath, as I was debating picking up more scouts for my Blood Angels, so this box is a no-brainer for me. I think it's a regular scout box and a sniper box, from what I've seen. That's just spculation on my part though.

Really looking forward to more info soon.

Take it easy.

Over the years I built durable hard plastic necromunda terrain based off the bulkheads that came with the original game.
Has anyone heard or can figure out if they will keep the same size because most of my levels are based on three inch increments. (3",6",9")
It would be bad for me if the new stuff is built on a different scale.

I'm beginning to think I'll just get the paper materials off eBay, 125 euro for just the terrain (I'm not even going to count the models as being worth anything) is really too much and I can already cover a dozen tables with the terrain I own.

Using Alarielle as a model ($130 US) it will be €105.
