Would a deepstrike within 1 inch of an enemy vehicle cause the deep striking squads destruction?

Unless there's been a sudden change to the Deep Strike rules that nobody told me about, of course it does.

Why would you think that it wouldn't do so?

Well, I was wondering if there was a destinction between an enemy model and an enemy vehicle, as in something with a base and a tank, but after more research and consideration I think enemy vehicles are a subset of enemy models, not an independnent group, and therefore I concur that they are also enemy models and would cause deepstrikers to be destroyed.

Yup, 'Model' applies to all models.

When they don't want to include vehicles, they say 'non-vehicle models' or 'infantry'

Page 6 of the Warhammer 40,000 4th edition rulebook makes it clear that when the rules refer to a "model" that it applies to both non-vehicle and vehicle models.
