So I am looking at this Forgeworld drop pod that I recently purchased and I cannot find the strombolter. There is not one on the model. This creates 2 problems for me; first, it really is not WYSIWYG now is it, second what is the firing arc of the missing stormbolter? Can someone help me here? Darrian

it is supposed to be on the center top from what i understand so you have a 360' arc i home made my own drop pods with GW bits and i always put my storm bolters on top in the center.

it is supposed to be on the center top from what i understand so you have a 360' arc i home made my own drop pods with GW bits and i always put my storm bolters on top in the center. You must have a super-cool extra page in the Space Marine codex. Seriously though. The FW drop pod rules don't include a Storm Bolter, so there isn't one on the model (or perhaps vice-versa). Either way, you're going to be in charge of mounting that SB on your model. Since there isn't any precedent set either way by a GW model with a Storm Bolter, why not just put it on the top to give yourself a 360 arc? Can anyone really complain about it since there isn't anything officially produced by GW to contradict you?

For mughi3- Do you have pics of your scratch-built pods? I wouldn't mind seeing what other people have done with available GW bits in this regard. Thanks

"Can anyone really complain about it since there isn't anything officially produced by GW to contradict you?" Not only that, but who would seriously coplain about 360' of BS2 goodness And even if they DID complain, you'd be well within your rights to [point and laugh anyway

well not one specifically of the pod. there is this pic of one old variation of my deathwing http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/ec9fc9f0.jpg the pod is made out of tau parts, space marine bike parts and dreadnaught parts i still use the pods in my current list but it has normal termies in it instead of the dread. i put a 10 man assault squad in the force now, so i want to get somebody with a teleport homer close to my enemies so i can bounce the assault squad in on them......if it happens not to come in first

There was a guy at the GT who had all the SB for his drop pods attached to jump packs and on long wires so that they were as tall as the pods and set on bases next to his drop pods. It looked cool. Mine though are just mounted on top of Heineken keg cans (to fit the theme of my army). As for as the fire arc goes, everyone i know plays them as a 360 arc

Posted By NYCowboy on 08/03/2006 12:46 PMI like your drop pod zubor. What did you make it from? I'we made it from some sort of "rubbery-plastic" that i've found at my work place . I have used "blue-prints" found on internet and cut it accordingly ...
