It only smells for a week or so, less if you clear-coat it, but they will change color if you just use the supermarket variety, Is the Secret Weapon basil dyed? If so, dying or painting dried herbs is a bitch, how much was the Secret Weapon leaves and how much comes in the pkg?

If you get Woodland Scenics, buy the big quart shaker bottles of flock, they don't make one blended as nicely as GW's Glade Grass though..that is good stuff, and they give you a decent-sized tub.

I'll ask Galorn, he's got a Basil-fresh bag. I don't recall it being dyed.

Meanwhile, a Supply Drop from the UK finally arrived (oy) with parts for the final Salvage...Valkyrie? Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

Well, back in the day, there were rules for Civilian Vehicles. And, as Kid Kyoto said in his thread, in over 25 years, GW has never produced 40K civilian vehicles.

So, civ vehicles are great for terrain, scenarios, kill team, patrol clash, and all other types of mayhem, especially now that 6th edition has such a heavy focus on non-tournament play.

Which suits the -=[_,=- eague just fine.

Also, here's a few shots of things I've been working on, while staring fruitlessly at the...oh, yeah.

FOLKS, I've decided to change the name of The Big O. I cannot, in all good faith, ignore the dictates of my heart. The name of my epic missile-launching Adeptus Mechanicus creation is now:

ORDINATUS FALKEN

A bitz bag to whomever "gets it" first. DIFFICULTY: NO Internet Searches! Either you KNOW it and GET it, or you DON'T. No posers.

Also, I've decided to paint the missiles white, due to me not wanting to put up with "Red + Green == Christmas" jokes.

Now, back to the pictures.

I've been fiddling with the last of the Salvage Valks. I have a bit of a setback, because I couldn't straighten out/recover the heat damage of the tail booms. But I was able to experiment with some stuff, and get some forward progress. It'll be a few days to a week before I can make serious progress, but you can see where I'm going.

So, first, the original Valk. It is the one in the center.

New and old parts, after stripping the valk into major components/assemblies.

A new firewall/bulkhead for the cockpit.

And test-fitting a boom and wing.

Finally, in honor of Dave's Orkmower...

Thanks for watching.

haha Love the steal drum barbie

I honestly don't get the reference either, and google didn't help for that matter lols

Yeah Civie vehicles makes sense, I was tempted to do something with this: http://blightwheelminiatures.jumpseller.com/staghound-mk4 as something vaguely civie like... and I havent found anything else so far that I liked enough to use.

My guess on the Falken then Falk is the swedish word for falcon. and the falcon flies down to its prey at an increadible speed. the enemy/prey will never see it coming (kind of happily unaware). just like the missiles on your ordinatus when they are launched.

well, that's my guess anyways

but i love that BBQ!

and WTH?!?! is that a Tau walker? :O

Well, I guess it is good that Galorn only lives a few miles away from me.

And, yes, it is a Tau Walker. Design and WiP is in the thread and in my gallery.

@dave: It is part of my developing "Imperial Guard Field Repair Station " scenery.

Folks, a quick FYI. I was laid off, this morning (over the phone, no less). I'm going to be off-line for a bit while I concentrate on my vmware ICM class, and acing my VMware certification exam, so I can improve my chances of getting a new job.
