The scheme was actually very simple to do, taking longer to apply the stencils that to apply the paint !

So by a series of (un)fortunate events I have found myself in the house on a Saturday night with no kids to look after, no work to go to and nuthin' to do.

Yes roll the dice man! :-) best way to do it! makes me remember a book I read years ago called the Diceman.

Hey fellas ! Thanks for the ideas, vino and real life ended up gotting in the way to posting, I didn’t get any painting done in the end, no loss really as I’m only an adequate painter, but I did get to glue some bits together, which I enjoy!

That last guy is brilliant! I get a real feel that he's just knackered and can't be arsed fighting anymore, shoulders slumped and the weight of the power glove bringing down his body and his will to live.

The pose came about as pure fluke, mainly because GW seems unable to sculpt people standing up straight or without squatting, anyway by using a MadRobot power fist and dropping it down the shoulder everso slightly he does indeed look tired, and or old or both. The choice of head helps that look too, he went thru about 10 head swaps before I went firm.
I’m having him as the senior officer contrasting with some others that will be more upright.

What about the two dudes with sword and shield ? Could they pass as Crusaders for an Inquisitor ?

I’m currently living abroad and Little H packed me off with a Tupperware box of paints and the same of models that need paint

Some work in progress, these deckers are fiddly !

Solid start, really like the copper tones on the boss-man's armour.

Also, love those two acolytes, great job.

I've painted from hotel rooms before. Can generate some nice results if you can maintain your focus.

Yeah, ive done it a fair bit, It's not too bad if you can get good light, luckily this place has a massive window !

Thanks for stopping by fellas. I'm calling them done after a couple of hours tonight, they aren't my best but they definitely will do for Little H to manhandle around !
I tried to make the leaders sword look like bubbling plasma, not so sure I pulled that off i'll apply some decals and dead static grass when I get home.
