You must have got a good deal. My issue one was closer to 50% more than that at £2.99

Right, Mortal Realms and Conquest No 1 were £1.99, my bad.

I checked today's issue for the Skitarii and it's the small sprue this week, not too appealing for £9, but I believe it does have two special weapons on it so might be useful for anyone in need of those bits (it doesn't have the Arquebus or w/e that long rifle is called).

thank you. looks like fauxhammer was wrong: "but I expect we will get 2 sprues in Issue 21 (otherwise you can’t actually make 5 Skitarii in that issue)"

Yes I was expecting the double sprue this week due to the Faux timeline but it seems the double sprue will be next week.

Adrift within the vortex of my imagination.

27,28 - 10x Necrons
29 - 1x Haemotrope reactor
30 - Mournfang Brown & Mephiston Red

Could be worse, and the filler issues mean that we get great content in others.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

I don't even KNOW anymore.

Eh, decided to take the plunge and try the sub out.

Already bought issue 1 from the Warhammer Cafe, so I initially went with just getting 2 and 3 (which is supposed to be $13.95, as issue 3 is free) - however, the checkout kept insisting that I was to be charged $16.95, so where the extra $3 came from, I don't know. Just went ahead and got another #1, as the amounts were correct there, and a friend will buy it off of me when I get the shipment.

Just something for subbers to look out for. Maybe it's a tactic to get us to get the # 1, 2 and 3 beginners pack. Worked on me

Did you pay shipping on top of that?

I see that they want $7 for shipping each month, which is not bad

I THINK I am going to be haunting the Barnes and Noble to score the Necron issues, I really dont want the Primaris, nor the too;s, but cheap Necrons to start an army with is gold.

I did not see an option to pick and choose on the Imperium website

The subscription won't even ship until Feb 3rd for those of us who decided to go that route. I think I may also switch to buying individual issues instead. Or not. We'll see.

While out buying my wife a MacBook Air I stopped by one of the local Barnes and Nobles and picked up 3 copies of issue #1. $6.95 each, no teacher discount . I had called multiple stores near me and 3 said they stocked them but were out, this store was one of them saying they didn’t have it. I would physically check as it’s such a niche thing. Also it was in the hobby magazines, just for clarity.

One worker told me they received them on the 11th. The street date was the 26th in the US. Not sure if they will get it weekly or a bunch every few weeks, but I now have a new hobby of hunting.

I heard the same! I saw a worker stocking the magazines back on January 23rd, and when I picked up a copy of Imperium she apologized for the torn cellophane wrapper, saying they were all like that when they arrived. (Maybe it's a Brit/American thing? Here in the U.S., bagged magazines use a stretchier, less-brittle plastic than the bag the Imperium magazine was in.)

Since she was apparently the one who shelved them, I asked if she recalled when they arrived. She didn't remember, but scanned the barcode and looked it up, telling me the computer indicated they went on sale on January 11th. I was a bit skeptical since no one online (here, in the Facebook Imperium groups, Reddit, etc.) posted about it until about January 21st, and at that point I saw multiple postings about their appearance at Barnes & Noble.

For those interested in the AoS side of things, it looks like they're gonna test trial a new edition. Imagine it should be a full release in autumn. Note they're also gonna test a bimonthly... no idea what it is.

Looks to be called Stormbringer. Surprised they are running alongside Imperium rather than alternating.

Speculation on the other one talks about a potential book series.

For AoS, come the actual release, they'll only cross over a bit. They did the same for Conquest to Mortal Realms and Mortals Realms to Imperium.

Yeah the crossover isn’t unusual.

Will definitely take a look, could be interesting.

The actual launch would be later in the year so Imperium would potentially between issue 40 - 50.

Maybe they make an assumption that anyone still subbing at that stage is in for the long haul and won't stop just because of a parallel product.

Moving on, the latest sub delivery arrived today including the art book.

First photo shows it laid out on a copy of WD as a size guide.

Inside, the book has Marine, Mechanicus, Sororitas and Necron sections. I assume none of the art is new but there are some pieces I can't recall seeing before. If Imperium follows Conquest, expect the book to become available via the Hachette website towards the end of the run.

Lastly, from the back inside cover of one of the mags is a photo showing what models will be received across issues 21 - 40.

Thanks for sharing that. I infer from this that the tomb blades are going to be one model per issue.

Remember that one issue in four is a paint issue or have you taken that into account already?
