Far warning. Black 3.0 is incredibly thick and only works when applied thickly. Every time Stuart Semple creates a new black I try it out and I'm always disappointed.

Well bought it precisely to try it out. Curiosity. Though thick isn't big issue here as not like hood interiors have subtle details to lose...then again if it works like he claims loss of details is kind of point. If it absorbs 98% of light it should lose details anyway.
Anyway it won't be issue if it's bad as it was mostly curiosity anyway. Can't think any real use if it works as claimed anyway. (well maybe black templars...it would be so black it would be bad for camoflage so sorta reverse camoflage stating proudly "here we are")

Gave up and ordered big pile of terrain building material. Need to invest some on terrain as well and need lotr suitable terrain. Not just for me but likely for lotr tournament i will be holding in november.

Same here. I barely managed to avoid bankrupting myself with that one. So easy to click 'upgrade pledge' and get more new shiny toys...
I know they are going to get me for a t-shirt and an urbanmech plushie when the pledge manager comes out too.

Bunch of last alliance elves and numenorians plus Elrond. And with those had to get Gil Galad from ebay as well.
Incidentally this "sell two heroes in one" system from GW is real bugger sometimes. I got nice deal for those but just Elrond. Buying Gil Galad from GW gives spare Elrond...And from ebay hard to find lone Gil Galad that with shipping doesn't end up paying GW price anyway! (as it is even getting from same seller getting Isildur and Elendil would be cheaper from GW...Even with GW's own euro ratio...Hmm used metal with paint or new metal from GW for cheaper? Yep. Ebay lost. Ebay good for bigger sets or I guess if you live in UK. Small amount from Finland less so!

My FLGS stocked Space Marines Heros 2. After reading a facebook thread in which one of our resident staff members professionally handled someone alternating whining with threats of 'taking their business to eBay', I felt obliged to purchase a handful.
These things are actually pretty nice. I need a couple more now.

After a great day over the wkend at Warhammer world taking in the exhibition and tables for some terrain ideas, plus playing around with some contrast paints with one of my lads.
Picked up the Canis Rex knight kit, the new Solar War book, plus the Tallarn heresy novel oh and a new Warhammer Adventures book for the lad to read.
Settled down with a meal and a pint in Bugmans which was a fine way to end the day there, only to be asked by the wife if the new kit I bought means it’s the start of a new army. Lol.

Bunch of paints from GW. Biggest positive surprise was longbeard grey that was part of painting steps I was recommended for osgiliath ruins. Think this is first dry paint from GW that I actually found useful and good.
