1) The Sentinel is not a very good warjack. In fact, it's pretty much the worst of Cygnar's light warjacks. I would very much reconsider it.
2) Sword Knights work best when they are working with a melee warjack so they can get their Flank Attack bonus. However, the only warjack in this army has negligible melee ability. You also only have six of them, so survivability is going to very much be an issue. The best Warjacks for Sword Knights to work with are the Centurian and the Lancer, since those jacks have reach. A Lancer is wasted on Caine.
3) I think having the GMCA and Eiryss is redundant myself, but that's probably my aversion to the Elf shining through. I really am sick of her.

It would also help if you could describe how you envision this list working. Is it meant to go for the caster kill, or is it meant to claim objectives? Honestly I don't see it doing either of those things very well.

I've already posted the list I use for Caine. Another accomplished Cygnar player in my local play group (who used to work for Privateer, incidentally) fields something like this

- Centurian
Stormblades w/ UA
Trenchers
Journeyman
Piper
GMCA

He has a lot of luck with using the Centurian as a mobile terrain piece for Caine to flash around, as well as backup for the Stormblades. Trenchers roll smoke to get the melee guys into position for the caster kill. It's pretty brutal.

This will be the first time I have used Caine at all, as he is a recent addition to my force.  In looking around at different lists the GMAC and the Gun Mages Unit seem to be a must.  Eyriss is there for some lone hunting and the fact I just like the figure.

Most of the friendly games here are Kill the caster so I was looking at something that would give me a feel for Caine on my first time out with him.

I was thinking of running the Sentinel with my Journeyman warcaster, as I have had decent luck with the rolls to hit additional models with the sentinel.  If I had the points I would use a hunter in this force, but I don't.  Aside, I just like the Hunter as a light Jack.

Through Spells and some luck I manage to not have to move my Longgunners till late in the game, so I get the max benefit out of them.

My trenchers are not available, unless I wanted to play with only the Sgt and the 5 troopers.  I am adding the 4 other figures and they are on the painting table now.

The Sword Knights were there as an after thought, maybe not a good one.  I just love those guys. I have run a Defender with them and had all kinds of fun until I got Godspelled and got back stabbed.

The lancer should be used in place of the sentinal.Jack marshall it with the sword knights and your good to go.The Lancer is awesome with the sword knights because it also moves 6'.

Have 5 knights on each side of the lancer in tight formation with the piper behind the lancer. Have JR cast arcane shield on the sword knights and now you have an insane wall of melee,use it as a shield for caine to pop behind of as well.

Argh post got eaten by Kepp!

First off, don't Marshall a Lancer - it's a waste of points. It's not a bad jack to run with Sword Knights (actually it's the best jack to run with them), but not marshaled - the entire point of the Lancer (indeed, a good chunk of its cost) is the arc node. Marshaling it means you never use that arc node. If you have your heart set on Marshaling something with the Sword Knights then bite the bullet and find the points for a Centurian. Even then it's not a great choice, as it's pretty slow. If you really really really really want a Lancer assign it to Caine - that way he can at least have it there to arc thunderstrike through.

Anyway, some further thoughts:

GMCAs aren't that great at 500 points; they're just too fragile and expensive. They're nearly 20% of your army pointswise, and they're very easily killed. They can be made to work, but at 500 level games there are better ways to spend points.

The Sentinel is just a bad jack; the RAT5 means it needs to boost to hit to get those strafe attacks. What's more, it's only POW10 so it really only threatens light infantry anyway - it's useless against heavy infantry, warcasters, and jacks. Cygnar has a billion other ways to kill light infantry - just take Stormguard if you're that worried, or more Sword Knights. PP seems to have realized that a POW10 strafe isn't that impressive, Everblight's Seraph get a POW12 strafe and that's just sick. :\

If you lose the Sentinel and the GMCAs you free up a ton of points and you can start thinking about other stuff. A Centurian isn't a bad choice, have it Marshaled to the Sword Knights, fill out their ranks, and use it as your forward force. Advance them under the cover of the sniped LG's (20" range ftw) and have Caine and the solos doing what they do best - being royal pains in the ass. Or alternatively get some Trenchers... there are a lot of ways you can go from there.

GMCAs are only 32 points. (Gun Mage Captain Adept, the solo)

Maybe you're thinking of the Arcane Tempest Gun Mages (ATGM) which are 90 points.

And yes, they are a lot of points. But if the situation is too dangerous for Caine to run
around (lots of incoming enemy aoe, for example) snipe and other spells on the ATGM
might be just the thing. Or the lancer is probably safest of all...

I have been enjoying sending a IronClad around with my Sword Knights. Send the jack into something meaty, use his *Attack (KD everything within 2") and then charging with the SK to mop up.

Well Guys I guess I am back to the design part again. First time out was not exactly what I wanted. Ended up against Cryx and dies very quickly. The death Jack is a titan.

My stormblades died so quickly I just never got over how quickly they were gone. My long gunners got in some shots but were taken out in turn 3. Gun mages took out two bone jacks and then died. My piper and GMCA died in turn 4 and in turn 5 it was over.

Back to the drawing board.
