Actually, for all you Amerikaners, the prices are all that stupid up here - and we didn't get a rebate on our battlefarces, just the benefit of having $5 slapped on all the middle range prices.

If the rules weren't so screwed up already, I'd might consider ordering battleforces from Neil for half of what the MSRP is up here.

It's not our fault you guys always get screwed on pricing. Just stop buying from companies that overcharge everyone but Americans. I'll never understand why people outside of the US put up with such insane prices on retail goods (excluding socialist countries where high prices are necessary because of high minumum wages). And I can't understand how Australians can even afford to survive given the way they get gouged...

And the US gets gouged considerably compared to the UK (excepting the starter sets). All of GW's ridiculous price hikes were enough to get me to stop buying their crap and if WHFBv7 gets the same shoddy treatment as 40k, I'll stop playing their games too.

Some countries have whats called a luxury or value added tax. For example, an Australian once told me that goods produced and exported from England get a tax slapped on them. When they arrived in Australia, they had another tax slapped on them. Guess what...the price goes up. Its often not the company that causes higher prices, its the taxes. Gotta pay for the free health care and public dole somehow.

I been to countries with VAT taxes, and even when I subtracted the VAT (19% in most of Europe IIRC), it was less expensive to just come back to the US and buy stuff. Australians get it worst of all - manufacturers gouge Australia on everything, especially electronics, and claim it has something to do with shipping stuff to Australia - as in, it costs more to ship stuff from Asia to Australia than to America. Even though Australia is, well, closer. Japanese pricing is similarly high. For some reason, people in some countries just keep buying stuff no matter how stupid the prices are - Americans, on the other hand, just buy something else.
