I was thinking of getting some WWII tank models eventually to mix them in with my army and make up my own rules based on the guns the walkers have

Seems reasonable, I believe there are some fan stats for some of the more popular tanks during WW2

I will actually be releasing a fan-made campaign book for historical tanks for Warfare soon. Tomorrow starts previews on Dust-War.com.

I hope they follow this up with the Axis and Allies flyers. With these releases the SSU have more units than the two originals.

Surprised these havent been posted yet. FFG and Dust models displayed some of the upcoming units at Gencon this weekend. Lots of new SSU stuff and some more for the Allies and Axis.

Those killsquads...do not suffer zooming well. They will definitely need some pinhead correction.

oh boy these pics are awesome! I really like where they are taking these models.

gotta love those weapon squads, but the allies kill teams have the same stuff other than the hats? The new axis heavies are very nice, I like how the little wire mesh tops above the machine guns fold out!

The Soviets...wow, I thought i wasnt going to start SSU but the 'fury of ivan' looking walker and its minigun varient are so cool and personally i think the tanks are perfect and lend a 'authentic' feel to the faction.

yup, looks like i know whats on my christmas list.

That price is for the Premium Edition prepaints. The actual tanks, unpainted and assembled, only cost you $40 full MSRP, and you can find them online for only $25.

I was there but I missed this somehow :( I was even in the FF area too, but somehow I got suckered into buying an X-wing starter set, because it was there and I had money in my pocket.

No new Allies vehicles? They're falling behind...

SSU is almost brand new and already has more stuff than the Allies.

I'm a little disappointed in the plane. I was hoping the fliers would be more reminiscent of aircraft of the late 1940's / early 50's. I love the Axis heavy laser grenadier team (or whatever they're called)

Some very nice models there. I'll have to pick up quite a few of them down the line.

The plane is supposed to be a prototype right now; but that said it is pretty reminiscent of early jets.

At least if early jets were created by the Nazis with alien technology at their disposal as well.

Nod. It's clearly reminiscent of the ME262. Though squished up a bit for production and sales purposes (same as the Soviet choppers being chibi-ised)

Actually it is not the Me 262 (we even do have some working 262 flying over here from time to time).

The sources are:

Henschel 129 (weapon gondola)
Horten flying wings
Komet
and little elements from all the German VTOL experiments.

I see elements of all of those - the canopy and overall form is very 163 - but the main jet turbines are very reminiscent of the 262.

The turbines are a standard design and nearly all jet prototypes (over 100 designs) had very similar looking turbines.

The war for the fate of the world is heating up with the addition of four new expansions for Dust Tactics and Dust Warfare! Unveiled last weekend at Gen Con Indy 2012, these new units bring a range of options to all three factions. For the SSU, the IS-48 Super-Heavy Tank is an unstoppable powerhouse, while the Red Guard Assault Squad is made up of some of the world’s most inventive and cunning soldiers. To respond to this threat, the Axis fields its Heavy Antitank Grenadiers, and the Allies attack under cover of night with their British Commandos Kill Squad!

We’re pleased to announce that all four of these versatile expansions are coming in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Something for Everyone

The IS-48 Super-Heavy Tank, Karl Marx, is perhaps the most powerful ground vehicle in the world. Armed with the brand new Heavy Tesla Gun, this tank is a dire threat to infantry and vehicle units alike. Designed by the SSU, the tank’s deadly Tesla cannon ignores cover, wipes out out enemy squads in a single burst, and “explodes” for tremendous damage against enemy vehicles. When the IS-48 Super-Heavy Tank takes the battlefield it instantly becomes the centerpiece of any army.

Backing up their new armored behemoth are the SSU’s famous Red Guards Infantry Regiments, and the Red Guards Assault Squad consists of some of the best soldiers on the planet. Joining a unit of the Red Guards is an honor for any SSU soldier; it means that he has made it through the selection process and survived one of the world’s toughest training programs. With their PPSh-48, DPM MG, UGLs, and Molotov cocktails, these Guards are capable of dealing critical damage to unwary foes.

Not to be outdone, the Axis and Allies each bring significant firepower. The development of heavy body armor allowed the Axis to deploy its soldiers into the deadliest of combat zones at lightning speed, often well before they could mobilize long-range support. Axis engineers worked tirelessly to develop long-range weaponry for these elite soldiers, and the result was the Caseless PaK 7.5 cm. With this formidable weapon, the Axis Heavy Antitank Grenadiers are deadlier than ever. The Heavy Antitank Grenadiers share a single base and come with a special card with three health boxes, like on a hero card.

Meanwhile, the British Commandos Kill Squad provides players with three carefully sculpted miniatures that they can configure as either a British Commandos Kill Squad or a French Foreign Legion Kill Squad. Either of these Allied Kill Squads can rain death upon enemy infantry with its 50W Phaser Rifles. The British Commandos back up their firepower with the Scout skill while the French Foreign Legion Kill Squad can use its Assault skill to execute a vital tactical maneuver once per game.
