So anybody playing this weekend? for 2000 pts @Legends on Sat possibly?

I want to try Fantasy as well if anyone is down to teach me, I have Daemons w

I'm free this weekend for games if things are going on. As for fantasy, I don't have an army yet. I plan on building it slowly at first till I know what I want to buy. So far I have 16 warriors and a BSB set up.

I'm free from 11am onward, not sure if Spender will be there. We haven't really worked out our doubles list yet either. Any point level is fine with me, i've still got piles of printed off sheats in my case so I can do whatever.

Hey Rythem, Scatter Laser is does not twin-link itself, it only twin-links whatever is shot afterwards.

The rules in the book say roll all the Laser Lock weapons first then if it hits all the remaining weapons are now twin-linked.

So yeah, just something to keep in mind when using scatter lasers.

That totally disqualifies the last 5 victories he has had on me... That Rythem has like 20 scatter lasers on everything!!

Wow. You actually read other people's codices?? I usually just take their word for it...

Ahh, i read it as it twin links the other weapons on a vehicle and since you fire all weapons at the same time that 1 scatter laser would twin link another. Luckily it only affects the war walkers since all other vehicles come with a twin-linked scatter laser option. Guess I finally found a good target to cast guide on, since I would usually just waste the cast on someone that wouldn't get good use out of it anyways.

Lol Dee, that would be true but you have only faced my new eldar like twice since you refuse to leave your basement and play outside.

* Update on my fantasy army, it's in the mail and on it's way to me, hopefully will have it in 7-10 business days, then i just need some movement trays and will be good to go. Turns out s/h was only about $40 so all in all a very good deal for me.


*Spender: I've worked out another list for the 1k doubles tourney, and have also started painting again. Managed to paint 10 more dire avengers in the last couple days, so only need to finish the 7-8 warp spiders and another squad and I will be good to go.

Hey all, since my usual tourny partner (More Dakka) had decided that hitting tiny balls with sitcks is more fun that a day of doubles I am looking for partner for my Tau at the Legends tourny, any takers?

I've actually never been to your basement so I actually don't know
But I'm too lazy to get out of my comfort zone to play somewhere else besides Legends

I have not yet heard back from anyone about the doubles proposal I made for Satuday (Rythem and Spender), but I did get a hit from Ultimategaming... so I will let you konw if I am still available for Saturday after I read my pm from Ultimategaming....

I am playing AGAINST Grey Knights for the first time, so I will watch out for the psycannon guys, dreads and Draigo... if I play my DE, I guess I will try to overwhelm with targets and bust his psycannon carriers first... maybe even swarm his dreads with a fat beast pack to keep them busy...

It's pretty much a somewhat guaranteed win for DE if you play against GK, once you kill all of the Psyfledreads you have a huge chance of winning.
The rest of the army has majority range of 24" guns with the 6" reduction with night shields, the only thing they'll do is die to Venom fire.
Shoot Dark Lances into Paladins as it IDs them.
GK is slow and doesn't have much long range firepower besides the psyfledreads which will give you a hard time if you don't take them out.
