Nice work on Russ and the Minos there, Damo. I wonder how hard it would be to sculpt a half-decent beard onto him?

Just a little work on the Predator, managed to do a little more to the reds and get them done they were just washed so the colour may be a little off but it's starting to take shape now and look better! not a heap more to do just the guns and a general tidy up, then some nuln oil in the recesses and some red dust and details and she's a good 'un! makes painting tanks pretty easy!







I hope they release Russ with a beard when he returns from the warp! I imagine he'd be hairy and wild and probably a little more hair trigger barbarism which would be fun for the imperium and could bring the wolves into direct confrontation with my Minotaurs and the High Lords of Terra!

The reds look much better now, but I can't unsee what Whaley pointed out - just how heavily battered the bronze of the tank is while the red still looks perfect. I think a bit of weathering on it as you did with the AdMech stuff a little while ago would bring it all together and unify the paintjob really nicely. Wouldn't need to be nearly as heavy as on the bronze, but a bit would even out the two elements.

True, true but I haven't got to that part yet :-) there will be some light scratches on the reds but I needed to get the main part done first before I go back in.

Of course, and now that you've said you're going to scratch it up I'm much more relaxed.

And I think I may give some scratches another sepia wash and tone them down a bit, on the top of the hull seems to be a little too damaged now I look at it some more :-)

All the damage just means they are super bad- es instead or only regular bad- .

Well they certainly are a chapter of bad a#$% so then I suppose it fits :-)

Beautiful work on the reds bud, I know you have yet to start weathering it, but it has such beautiful tones and shading.

Hey guys I finished the Mino's Predator and am pretty pleased with it I toned down the scratches again by another sepia wash and did a few little quick scratches on the red and then just highlighted the rivets and a few edges and she's ready for war!

So do I paint a Landraider next or two rhino's for the board if I have time?

How do you plan on adding the tanks to the display? It seems more like a scene in a citadel, and tanks would be strange to me.

Great work Damo. The scratches on the red unify the whole thing nicely - and toning down the damage was also a good call.

Thanks Az, I'm much more happy with it now too, it needed toning down slightly and just a small amount of scratches on the red is all it needed, nothing too in your face but it ties together much better, makes me look forward to a nice meaty land raider :-)

Thank you Cam, Graven, Gits, I'm definitely going to add to the vehicle pool in the future and maybe even get a biker squadron? are they any good? I've never enjoyed painting the SM bikes but I feel I could tackle them with this paint style without getting annoyed and it would give me an excuse to do some bike bases as if they are banking etc which would be fun :-)

I'll be doing some more on my Mino's soon and also i'll be able to post up some finished 'tabletop' Warhound pictures! I say tt only because i've painted the two main areas, being the armour and the metal underneath so I haven't picked out details like pipes and cables and kept the palette simple but damn it looks cool :-)

Do jet bikes instead, if you need some conversions just ask bud. That way they can fit in your cool display and battle on the table.

Looking forward to seeing a properly painted WH.

I miss a few days of checking in on Nerdy and he has all sorts of great work going on. Russ is outstanding, a bit of stubble is not such a big problem he probably shaved just before purging all those T sons.

Mino's are so damn good, especially that predator, scuffs and scratches look like he just rolled in from battle. Looking forward to seeing that Warhound.

O.K Yorky here's a Warhound for to look at

I finished her up this morning and I think for a fairly simple style and scheme it looks pretty damn cool, and obviously inspired by the Knight I did for RiTides (one of my personal favorites i've done) the guy I painted her for wanted a simple bulldozer-Esq battle machine!

I kept the metals dirty and tried a different approach to adding depth by firstly using a blue/black wash that I let pool in splotches and then I crossed my fingers I could do something with it! so it was less noticeable after a few washes and looks a bit like aged steel and like oil or fluid on the joints.

Great work - especially on the metals (as always). The dull yellow/ochre fits in well somewhere between flat desert paint and industrial.

I like the simple but well executed scheme. Only thing I don't like about it is that the transfers appear to be very noticeable that they are transfers.

Warhound is gorgeous! I absolutely LOVE the weathering, and ONLY you are skilled enough to NOT overuse the edge highlighting! This may be my favorite of all-time of yours, and that says something!

Favorite part is the weathering. Big thing likely makes a lot of bumps and scruffs.
