Slow weekend. Had another project come up so not much time on the Warlord as I hoped.

Managed to get the torso magnetized and dry fitting of the pieces that go on it. Plasma reactors? Fitted and drilled the pinning holes for the arm mounts and did some more work on the guns; namely magnetizing the armor plate for the Volcano cannon.

Started painting the Sunfurt plasma in between glue drying.
Bad lighting camera phone shots. My good camera is still in for repair.

Houston we have magnets. Happy weekend awaits.

Speaking of magnets - but not of Warlord titans - is there any chance you could show how you magnetised one of your Contemptors?

I've got one I'm hoping to do this with this year, but have zero experience using magnets thus far.

Sorry for the late response. For the normal contemptors I magnitized where the shoulders attach to the arm. Most Logical place. I'll try to get a pic when I get out to the workroom again.

Bad weekend for hobbies. I worked all weekend. 8 more weekend to finish her.

Back at work, though tomorrow I'm modeling for sure. Plan is to finish the super structure and get it all primed. Then I will tackle what I consider the second most stressful part of the build... Magnetizing the arms an weapons.

I don't want to have to repair, reenginner or in any way have a ' do over'. If I get it right. I'll move on to priming armor plates.

I will post pics.

In your experience, is magnetising worthwhile?

I put that out there to folks in general. I mean it's great to be able to swap out. But how often do you. Is it something that really matters. Or do you end up using the same weapons setup most times.

Most likely you don't swap out stuff. Where it becomes useful is if you need to save a few points. Sometimes you will need to have options. Secondly the meta may change, and what was hot in now not.

A pretty good weekend, though I only managed to partially get my to do list finished

Finished base coating the body. I worked on applying the Nerdfest tried and true metal technique. Finished the lower half and started on some details. Worked on painting the top armor and the power spines/Chambers that rest on the top armor. painted the super structure for the carapace and Armored shoulder plates. Base coated the head.

Need to finish and detail the torso before I seal the top plate. Finish both power spines front and back caps. At this point I need to get the arms in place and magnitized. Shoulder mounts to follow.

Thanks all.

I see the reactors need a bit brightning up,
I keep worrying that I won't get her finished, but really the only weapons she needs for Adepticon is the Missile Launchers and both fists.

Like mentioned earlier the left fist will have the other head in it's palm. I'm hoping for a Bill Shakespeare moment.

Finished one side is the power spines....or better strips. Working to get the other one finished tonight. Then start on the torso. Hopefully the weekend will see all these parts come together. Camera is making the metal more black. It is actually more steel color. Better pics later.

Thanks. It's much less black than the photo. 7 weekends. Once the torso gets completed I really need to do the Arm mounts. I been stressing over them as I cannot afford to mess them up.

Will move forward... plan...

Finish power strip
Finish metalling torso
Detail torso. (Time consumer)
Paint anti infantry weapons - install
Paint head (already magnitized)
Build arms. magnitized -pray
Paint Apoc launchers
Build and paint both powerfists, 1 with spare head in the palm of the left fist
Paint and detail all the Armor plates.
The plasma and VC can wait as Ramos wants to run the with the two fists

Knight Fight medals. Going to paint them metallic.

Now I am worried again.

Not yet. I need to not work every weekend and actually put in the hrs.

Thanks for offering. I'll reach out if I reach critical mass.

Good day yesterday.finished up the carapace. Just need to glue (and clamp) the shoulder framework in place before I seal her up.

Did the details on the torso ( as much as I was going to do. Your could spend a week just painting all the pipes and vents.)

Finished both Apoc launchers, though I may need to put larger magnets in their mounts, we'll see. Finished the void shields, and both front and back anti infantry guns and mounts.

Lastly, I took the plunge and started on the arm mounts. I glued metal plates on both sides of the mounting U joint (where the weapon slides into the arm. I'll mount magnets to the weapon round attachment on both sides. I'll also attach another magnet to the U Mount and top of the gun attachment for further strength. It won't be as posable but should be sturdy and quickly interchangeable.

Next will be putting all the pieces together and priming all the Armor plating. Which is the fun part.

Will do. When she's done and properly named, I'll put her next to my Reaver, Warhound and a normal Imperial Knight.

Snowed in. So I got another day of work.

Drilled an magnitized the arms. Looks like the 3 magnet system will work. Once I got that done, I put the all together, JB Welded them together. Let them set then painted them and attached them to the torso. They are all pinned with JBW. Should hold.

Glued the shoulder mounts to the armor plate super structure. This should be the last piece to attach to the torso. Once done she'll actually look like a Warlord Titan. Then on to all the armor plating. Probably wait till next week to start that.

Finished building the right powerfist. Will need to magnitize it in a good position... Then on to the left powerfist with the Titan head in it's hand. I hope the magnets can hold the additional weight.

While the arms were setting. I painted the medals. I will probably not get another day to work on her till next weekend. Two days helped get me back on track.

Ok. Some updated pics. It took me most of the morning to dig myself out. So I decided to stay home and get some other mundane things done. In-between I glued the shoulder mounts on the torso. Primed the right powerfist. Started on the head that will go into the other powerfist. This PF has its fingers all hinged, so I can place the head then wrap the fingers naturally.

Starting to come together. Next will be sealing the torso and adding the power strips. Then get the right PF painted.

Thanks, she's slowly getting done.

6 weekends to finish her up and take stock of all the stuff I'm taking, 3 Titans, 14 Knight's, two 3000 pt armies, x wing. All the Knight Fight board and terrain. 4x8 table and additional terrain to fill it and probably some clothes.

Thanks for posting the pic next to the knight! She is going to be a big beautiful death machine, hoping I can get to Adepticon to see her in person.
