Now that is a GREAT suggestion - please make it so!

Good point there - once they are available, I'll be placing a large order for many sets of each - they'll look great, and properly sized, next to my True Scale Alpha Legion!

These are really really good. I could do with pistol grips on the rifles - just a preference, for this more modern-looking outfit. I think the more traditional rifle look is totally fine for the other regiments in the range, like the highlanders, though.

Another great suggestion - hopefully this one can be made a reality too!

It's worth noting the Vic has already produced groin guards which extend the torso into a heavier-armoured look. With a more heavily-armoured set of helmets and the aforementioned arms (perhaps with the more heavy-duty rifle with pistol grip?) you'd be set for a without too much extra work...

I used those groin guards on all of my Cadians because I run grenadiers (often overlooked, and yet soooooo good).

I've got good news for you then.

Got some of Victoria's resin, genuinely impressed by the quality.

Do have a general question for people, anything I need to be aware of regarding working with resin?

I mean with regards to filing, etc?

Never had to do any filling with the resins from Vic. I do recommend a good cleaning before use.

Just some minor flash in places.

Presuming hot soapy water works fine?

Just never used resin before and haven't been able to find anything regarding Vic's resin.

All resin dust is dangerous to breathe in

so all stuff that risks creating it (sanding/filing/scraping) should be done 'wet' or outdoors wearing a mask

(it's not advisable to sand etc indoors even with a mask as the dust is ultra light and will 'hang' in the air for ages)

Wet sand it. wear gloves and use a mask.

OUTSIDE, or out in the garage with the door open, otherwise.

Wash your hands after messing with the scraps and dust.

Shipping Delay :(
Due to an un-expected casting hold-up, I will be shipping out some orders later than expected. All orders will be filled, but the delay could take me to the end of the month. If you have an order that has not shipped and you would rather be refunded than wait, please contact me.
Very sorry about this, especially at this time of year. I will also be listing some of the squads as pre-orders while I catch up.
Big thanks to all for their support and patience.

Phew, glad I ordered my stuff the other week then

Santa's bringing me some Broolians and more penal bits, can't wait!

edit;

Vic, just to let you know my package arrived today can't open it 'til Christmas though :(

Hope there's not too many disappointed Victoria Minis customers out there and you get whatever shipping issues sorted, although i'm always amazed at the speed at which I get my VM goodies from half the world away

Cheers!

Do the resin and metal parts have issue being glued together?

Not if you use super glue - I recommend Loctite!

Would GW's glue work?

I just had some of Vic's beastmen roll in and some of their accessories were resin while the rest of the models are metal.

I prefer Gorilla Super Glue to Loctite for models. Loctite is good in that it sets fast, but doesn't have the strength I find. For metal. it can irk the hell outta me, though for plastic to plastic or resin to resin, it's fine unless it is a large part that provides leverage against the joint.

I use the army painter stuff myself, works like a charm, just remember to clean the parts before gluing them together.

Any chance we might someday see some Doughboys in a similar vein to the Death Korps?

Also, if I wanted to just have a couple figures to paint up, would it be more economical to buy the bits separetely, or would it actually be better to just get a whole squad?

Vic does Brodie Helmet heads, they're basically the same helmets given to the US Doughboys in WW1 and used by the US military as the M1917 helmet up until 1942.

http://victoriaminiatures.highwire.com/product/brodie-helmet-heads

Go for the Conscript Legs, Victorian Torso and the Rifle Arms and you'll have what you're looking for.

Got some of the legs and heads but I've got no use for 'em, PM me if you're interested.

That could work. Would one of the loose gas masks fit over the faces of those heads?
