I don't like the solid metal wheels. They should either be smaller and a lot thinner and/or they should have rubber pads like this.

Massive solid metal tyres really look out of place.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Hi, thanks for the comments.
Yes the male and female 'not cadians' now named 'Arcadians' are well on the way. A very badly timed casting hold up has delayed the release. I am doing all I can to get them out asap.
In the meantime, here is a preview of things to come in 2014. I have been working with the very cool digital artist, Jake Schneider to create a formidable heavy weapons battery. Here's one of the first.
Cheers, V

Can we get a pic of a guardsman or something standing next to one. I have a feeling these things are shorter than most people think they are.

These things fit the look of the more "victorian" regiments perfectly

I love it! I am really excited about these. The only criticism I can think of is the muzzle of the gun. Other guns of this sort have a muzzle that can be painted a distinct color from the barrel. I like this and hope that this could be included in any revisions to the model. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!

Looking good vic, but a far lower priority for me than Arcadians and your other awesome ranges. Acceptable heavy weapons are plentiful, but your human ranges are exquisite.

Maybe both perhaps?

I really disliked the small wheels the older HWs from GW had, ended up converting them to have larger wheels.

Would also work well as a stand-in for ork zzap guns I think, with just a tiny bit of modification.

I like the heavy weapons. chunky and utlilitarian.

Is there any hope of ten-packs of the beastmen?

I'd really like at least 30 for a Chaos Cultist squad.

The 6-pack just doesn't have the right mix of parts for what is needed.

Hey now there's a thought.

Vic have you given any consideration to doing an "evil" faction?
You know, on top of everything else you have going.

Lovely gun, really like the wheels and carriage. I find it a shame that it is as big as it is, though,
I don't really see how it will ever fit as a lascannon in a heavy weapons team. It takes up more than 2/3 of the base, How people will be able to fit 2 crew members, and also make room for sandbags, ammo crates, grass and whatnot to give the base character, well, i don't see it.
I think people should just take it for what it is, a large artillery piece, put it on a larger base, and use it as Ork artillery (or hope IG gets artillery pieces in the new IG:codex).
Still, i love the work, it has a nice rugged feel about it, would be cool next to some cultists or dkok.
Kind regards

As it's a 3D design, would it be practical to produce the carriage and wheels in both in the current size and also in a scaled down version?

+1 too that

Another vote for keeping the soft metal detailing parts – things like the goggles and rifle straps just won't work in any other material, and they're so cool!

I finally had a chance to sit down and paint up one of the miniatures I'd bought and built. Here he is:

So I have was already having a great day, being Friday and just writing a test that turned out to be infinitely easier than expected, and now I'm going to get drunk, but I was surprised by my Tannenburg Fusiliers showing up at work!

All I can say is that the models are gorgeous and the details even better in person. I can't wait to put them together and paint them!

Oh, and thanks for the great service Vic; I'll be ordering more from you, especially when the heavy weapons are finished.

Thanks for the pics and awesome feedback.
I've been quiet lately as I am still having trouble with the casting keeping up with demand.
I have a full squad of Arcadian boys assembled on my desk and no means to release them anytime soon (grrrrrrr!)
I will keep the metal parts such as straps and gobbles in metal.
There are a couple more product gone to resin lately:

Have no fear guys! Figures DO indeed fit on here, I keep a couple digital ones around for sizing when in doubt. It's actually even written up on my white board (I keep one around for listing down jobs, etc), and it's double underlined - "Ensure 2 figs can fit without grinding each other".

As a side note, the ones V showed off above from her own collection? They're actually wider than mine!

Also, fluff for the mini from the Adepticon site:

Colour Sergeant Kassandra Devin ducked her head beneath the lip of the trench a fraction of a second before the shell exploded. The colonial rebels were getting better at siting their heavy artillery. She cursed the bastards and their learning curve; it was really only a matter of minutes before they zeroed in on her position. Devin scanned the defensive works around her, manned by what remained of 2nd Company, 8th Arcadian Rifles. There weren’t many left now. Lieutenant Thais was wounded, evac’d to the rear, and Corporal Xephon was scattered across a dozen meters of no man’s land. She checked her chrono. One minute until all Hades broke loose.

Devin’s helmet comm chimed the signal to advance. Up and down the trench line, the remnants of the Arcadian 1st Brigade were moving forward. Friendly artillery began to lay down a covering barrage, a thunderous hail of metal and fire. If everything went according to plan, the infantry would have time to cross the mile of desolation between their line and the rebel guns. If things didn’t go as planned, well, that wasn’t something Devin had time to consider now. She gripped the Regimental Colours as she launched herself up, out of the trench. She turned to look and the men and women of 2nd Company and gave them a wry smile. “C’mon”, she yelled, “I’ll race ya!”
