I'm not 100% sold on the staff, looks a little confused, perhaps it maybe the picture angle, or the way he is holding it downwards.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've been ill this week and so done nothing else with him. Then this morning I pulled his storm bolter apart, I think the claws looked a little tacked on so I am going back to the drawing board and going the whole hog and making it properly daemonically possessed.

SJM - I'm glad the staff looks a little off, its intentional. From all the Black Library books the authors describe chaos (and xenos) architecture as having strange angles that look wrong to the human mind. I wanted to represent that in this model hence choosing the non symmetrical headpiece with odd angles.

Your Dark Apostle looks great! love the crozius. the asymmetrical look is great! with the storm bolter you could shave it down to the bare shape and put like a GS muscle design? protruding spikes may look good as well, as it'll fit in with the backpack

So I should have dusted him down before taking pictures. Grinding out the storm bolter was a lot of fun and now the daemonically possessed storm bolter looks right Glad I had a spare dark vengeance hell brute sarcophagus knocking about.

MoDI had four and I gave one to Neil. Of the three I have left I plan on having two Word Bearers and the third would make an excellent World Eater if I ever get round to it.

I know it's a little bland but I've always had a soft spot for it and for some reason it screams word bearers to me. Probably the third edition codex picture from the army showcase that did it.

Would be a great candidate for a PDH makeover!
