OK, my mistake. $60 buys you the caverns of Roxor expansion, containing x31 models with all their stat cards. Either way, its not value for money.

You must be new to this "limited edition" stuff.

Hopefully a box with these SDE minis is sold at next year salute? I would buy that for 12 dollas a pop.

While I understand what you're saying, the costume elements can vary wildly without issue. For my example, I'll point to Captain America (Film version) that has had 4 rather different costumes through 2 films set across 2 time periods, and had no issue being obviously the same person. For further examples, check out pretty much the entire Marvel and DC universes and all of their elseworlds and alternate universes and what-ifs and so on and so forth. I'd post pics to illustrate, but google can do just as well without spamming this thread with irrelevant pics.

Yes but on all these variants the basic, iconic shape has been preserved.

I agree, still I am quite disappointed we didn't get Drake, either as a pay option or as an unlock.

Indeed the first thing that came to my mind, can't say I am a fan of the idea, can't say I do not like it either, feeling quite neutral towards it.

Omg, I was going to put aside for the candy mech but did that get blown out the water!

I don't know I left aside for both bosses, but the final one eventually left me out cold, I guess I win a scale back of 30$

I put in for both. Let's see if they've got any more stretch goals.

I think this will be the case moving forward from CMON.

They've learned a lot from what now have to be considered 3 successful Kickstarters.

These were games that, more likely than not, were going to be released anyway - this was a good way to generate excitement and pre-orders.

The trick for them now is to maximize excitement and pledges while giving away the least amount of stuff overall - especially at the end of a campaign, when expectations have been met and in all likelihood, exceeded!

I think in the future we'll see more campaigns like this and fewer like Zombicide and Sedition Wars.

At least from CMON.

To be fair, after their initial stumbling out of the blocks, this one ended up finishing with a very decent amount of 'extras' for all interested parties.

I do not think we got much extras, neither free nor to pay for, especially for the skirmish game they are supposedly getting out we got duplicates of things that are not going to be used.

I would also challenge how "successful" the kickstarter was, it shook my faith an many mores faith on CMON their clarity on what you get from kickstarter and their commitment to it.

They changed or "clarified" the swaps the last days they SDE (for good or evil) brought a big schism in the community that was not addressed and at least personally left me with a bad unprofessional impression for CMON and Sodapop, leaving bits of updates out of emails, crucially one that clarifies they were joking about this been the final stretch goal, even jokingly complaining (I hope at least) about having to add the units they included for buy i the book (for a skirmish character game the units on the DPF are really few I am expecting at least double per faction) and their communications only started after the complains about it not existing went for days.

For me at least the next one will be a wait and see until getting close to the end, because after the first two this was really bad.

Yes, I am for real, I get at work a streachgoal update saying this is it and for a few hours I was wondering why, no time to check on the kickstarter they were joking and people on the project superficially may had the impression this is it until the next update kicked in.

And no I am not complaining they made a joke, I am complaining that the email notification send was not clarifying it was a joke as the kickstarter update did, it may be my lack of humor, but when I read it at work on my phone without pics, I got the impression that's it they wrap it up.

Tbh I think they shot themselves in the foot with the swap/buy back system. This has caused more confusion and griping than pretty much anything else. if they hadn't offered this I don't think it would have made a difference to the number of backers to any appreciable degree.

I backed to get two factions regardless of swapping or not, a second facton let's me get friends into this.

Also thanks to the boss being unlocked I can swap out the two SDE limited Ed miniatures (something else people griped about) for a cool useable mini for the game.

That is how CMON manages thier KS programs. It will be for all the pledges.

Considering thier treatement of it, they pulled it off well enough. Could have been better, but 800G's isn't chicken feed.

I just backed at the "get them all" level plus a little more for some extras.
