It is one of the reasons I haven't picked up any of Micro Arts Infinity bases - they're too high!

The rulebook preview was posted today. It is, perhaps, not as exiting as the miniatures but the layout looks slick and professional -as one would expect.

We have two excellent pieces of news for you today.

First, we received a preview copy of the full rulebook. This 272 page beauty needed to be shared so we filmed a short video flipping through the entire book.

And the big news is production has once again begun! We will be providing you with the timetable to finish the last of the miniatures and then shipping schedules very soon.

Deke said they'd just approved the final packaging proofs and that production had restarted on 25th feb

So if manufacturing finishes by Mid April they should be at the distribution centres by the start of May - 12 months late it is then be interesting to see how this plays out if they run the SDE KS before hand.

Project Update #112: Cerci and Black Diamond Update!
Posted by CoolMiniOrNot ♥ Like

We have a couple production updates for you today. The base toppers, Cerci Speed Circuit, and Black Diamond factions have all completed manufacturing. They are awaiting their final quality control check and then will be sent off to be packaged.

We have also been told that manufacturing will be complete no later than mid-April. We will continue to update you as the factions complete manufacturing, move to packaging, and then shipping.

The end is in sight!

Manufacturing complete no later than mid April, a long trip on a boat, sorting it out afterwards... I'm going to guess late May or early June for most folks to get theirs.

I wish I had kept track of people's predictions on this, but yeah, the local gamers who pledged are not happy about it

I guess that's news. It seems like they cranked those two factions out fast- I wonder why mid April?

I can't see myself supporting a KS by either Soda Pop or CMON in the foreseeable future. If the RK quality is knock-out-the-park, then maybe.

They are still air freighting them to the distribution centres so that will cut down on the time sat on a boat at least.

Well, at least the two best factions are done. Everything should be hitting in May. Could be worse. Hopefully the figures will just be awesome.

Yeah, the plan is still air freighting.

But even with that, I think we're still looking at Q3 at best now.

I don't want to believe that but it feels like the right call. My estimate of Q2 will probably come up short. They're only done with a third of the factions, right? Not sure where the rest of the stuff (prismatics, dark space, promo, and SDE figs) fits into the timetable.

Q3 makes even more sense due to the fact that they HAVE to ship this out to everyone in one go - no multiple waves.

The cost of air freighting everything in, combined with the cost of then mailing everything out, especially as how many price increases has the USPS had since this thing ended?

I have to say, after all the delays they can't really afford any mass botched orders or horrible miscasts. I just hope everything looks good.

I wonder if they're still going to air freight considering CMoN was the one footing the bill for that. Shall be interesting.

Yes, it is our understanding they are. This question sure is coming up a lot.

So they're rougly 1/4 of the way through production (2 of 6 factions, Void+Prismatic and cosplay+SDE).

Mid-April completion means shipping in late April/early June. US arrival & Customs early July.

Backers should have product in hand by late August?

Much earlier than that. Remember backers are having their items air shipped. There is NOT going to be 6 weeks of time on the water. I'll keep you updated with actual shipping times and production news as I am given them

Yet to be seen when "much earlier" than late August is. June? May?

So it turns out, despite claims to the contrary late last year, Soda Pop ARE making an additional apology mini for how late the project has run -but it will be in white metal so that plastic production time will not be lengthened. It also will NOT be shipped with pledges and instead they are giving a $15 credit to their webstore so we can order it when it is done.

They are also running a poll on the pose of the mini which you can see here: http://community.sodapopminiatures.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2240

That's pretty cool actually the $15 can be spent on anything not just Candy Heart. The leaping pose looks awkward to me But it's winning the poll I'll have to vote for charging when I get home and can log on to my account from the laptop.

The leaping pose isn't so bad but it makes me wonder how that sword is going to stay up on a metal mini with just the single arm holding it. It would look less awkward and offer more support if she two handed the thing. I'm also curious how she's supposed to stand in that pose. The picture on the Soda Pop forum makes it look less odd.

More than likely I'll be voting for the charging pose as well.

whereas I'll got the for leaping pose because of the micro sized contact point for the base with the charge pose

(votes were running neck and neck when I checked)

I think they both suffer from a similar problem from the renders - just one small point of contact on 1 foot. Charging has moved ahead now.

I know I'll end up getting it regardless I have 4 Candy minis already and another 3 on the way.

So the 'answer' to the delays caused because they had too many minis to make is to make another mini.

Got it.

I have all the Candy's so I'm sure I'll get this one too whenever it materializes.

Candy will be made inhouse out of white metal- it will have nothing to do with slowing down the kickstarter.
