Wow dude this is awesome, kind of looks like the lovechild of two things I like: the green martians for John Carter of Mars, and a Protheian from Mass Effect. Bravo sir, excellent job.

The three eye configuration and boney crests kind of gave it away.

Is it poseable? I love the detail, but the pose is very rigid. It worked well enough for the control panel, but for the blades it looks off.

Also, you may have mentioned it, but how big is this guy? Your pics don't really reveal anything to scale him to. I image him as life sized, but I'm sure he's probably much smaller.

Anyway, great work. Definitely a piece for your book.

I'm just wondering: is this a three-up, or is this the full sized model?

How much have you used on this guy, for example?

I tried to skin a foam terrain piece in air-dry clay (as the foam would have outgassed or worse in the oven if I had used a polymer clay) and it didn't work at all. I have 3lbs (1.5kg?) of something similar to milliput, but I don't know if I can work fast enough to skin the whole thing - it's a roughly 16"x16"x1" tall Eldar shrine piece. Maybe I'll give it a try.

I use quite a lot i have to say however there are measures you can take to reduce the amount you are using and the weight for example Tin foil can be used to make the main body up then use a layer of milliput over the top.

Okay here's the final main configuration "THE SHADOWLIGHT" had a couple of last minute hiccups but here we are

I really like this^

I'm going to try for a 1/4" to 1/8" cover over my foam. My biggest task will be mixing the epoxy. I really liked the way it had turned out with the air-dry clay (until it cracked completely off the foam) so I'm going to have to try to repeat my work. I hope I don't run out.

This is beyond incredible. You need to send this into GW for their daily blog, this blows away anything I've ever seen.
