Maybe £150 - £200 but I've just started a new army of Necrons and I'm already bored stiff of building them and peeved with the seeming symmetry of the Triarch Stalker when in fact, the legs did need to go on a certain way $%£%&

I have 2 boxes of the new Plaguebearers that I have not had a chance to get to yet, other than that I am painting or done painting everything else. My wife and I have an agreement that we only play with painted stuff and I can always get more stuff if what I have is painted up, keeps me on top of projects (mostly). There are a handful of abandoned painting projects for Chaos in boxes but they are 3 color minimum and playable, just not "done". We live in a small place so we keep that rule in effect just to keep from drowning in projects/crafts!

Whoops! I do have a small horde of about 40 Rogue Trader era miniatures that will become henchmen at some point... probably 10 bucks or more a piece now.

I never miss an opportunity to run inventory, because I'm apparently a masochist (if you've read enough of my posts, you'll know how frequently I lament my sub-sluggish pace). Don't know point costs well enough to use it as shorthand universally, so by model count:

40k
+Orks:
-18 Boys
-3 Nobs
-metal weirdboy/warphead
+SM:
-1 Rhino
+Mantic
-2 Marauders (sample sprue)

Mantic
+Undead
-2 ghouls (sample sprue)
-30 Revenant, 2x command
-20 Skeleton Warriors
+Orcs
-9 Axe, command
+Elf
-2 bolt throwers + crew
-40 Spearmen, 2x command
-40 Bowmen, 2x command
+Dwarf
-10 Ironclad
+GW
-VC metal Vampire Lord

Terrain
+Pegasus
-Gothic City Building, large
-Gothic City Building, ruins

Board Games
-Dwarf King's Hold: Dead Rising (roughly clipped and poster tack-ed together temporarily, for play)

Non-Wargaming
-Monogram M48A2 Patton Tank
-Revell Messerschmitt Bf 109G-10
-Revell Wright Flier

Hard to estimate cost, since DKH is literally the only item bought at list price - two metal characters were on clearance at FLGS, Mantic plastics were from the holiday grab bag (the two sample sprues were freebies), GW plastics and Pegasus kits were bought on Ebay, aviation/armor kits were bought at Michaels with coupons or on clearance... All told, I'd guess it's somewhere between $200 and $250. DKH cost me $60 and all the rest of the Mantic figs were another $60 (the messenger bag came pre-assembled, so I won't count it ). The Ork plastics are what remains unassembled of a larger "new on sprue" lot.

Not nearly as bad as I would have thought, since a far greater proportion of my collection feels "untouched" to me, having been assembled for anywhere from years to months, but remaining unbased, unprimed, and, of course, unpainted. Were I counting those, I'd have to add easily (honestly, these are very conservative estimates) 1k more points of Orks, over 1.5K of SM, and two Infinity starter boxes (Ariadna and Haqqislam, with only the Janissaire painted, although the Veteran Kazak awaits final assembly, as his arms proved fiddly). At least my various all-but-abandoned scratchbuilds haven't cost me more than $30 in materials and adhesives.

1k worth of Tau I have to rebuild, bought the entire list off ebay for 450$ and the twit that put everything togethor used a rubber cement and a primer with a grit, Its been fun though making my elite fire warrior squads.

Around another 1.5k in Guard, their largely on hold, and maybe sold soon as I am tired of that masterbation army it is.

100$ worth of Ork stuff, in different states of building, making a biker army is slow work.

Metric butt loads? After 30+ years in the gaming hobby and owner of Armorcast, I have lots... Never going to get it all done before I die...

Armorcast stuff
3 Eldar Phantoms
3 Eldar Revenants
Bunch of Tempests
A fair pile of Baneblades and Shadowswords
3 Reavers (will be Nurgle)
3 Warhounds
A number of Tyranid big bugs
Quite a few Chaos vehicles (Cannons of Khorne mostly)
A few BattleTech Atlases, Mad Cats and Vultures

Regular 40K stuff
2 DV sets...
Huge Nurgle army
Good sized Sisters army
A good start at an AdMech army (easily 2-3000 points even if AdMech stuff has high points costs)
Am actually working my way through my Necromunda stuff
Down to about 20 pieces (mostly big kits) for my Tyranids
Lots and lots of metal Chaos Terminators and other chaos bits. Was able to purchase at metal price on a visit to GW so my carry on contained 2+ kilos of GW metal. London airport security was not amused, but let it on the plane...
Some metal Eldar, lots more metal Marines (DA)
About 15 plastic kits. Land Raiders, IG, Eldar, Strongpoint, 2 Fortresses of Redemption for my DAs
And lots more

Other stuff
A bunch of Warzone, BattleTech and Dark Age metal, some WarMachine and god knows what else...
Large numbers of WWII 1/72 scale armor kits

And that's UNTOUCHED. There's then all the assembled but not painted/unfinished models lying around :(

The truly unbuilt stuff is the 40k stuff I've bought for my son....he'll look at the pieces, fit them together and build maybe one or two models from a kit. He's got 'Nids, Crons, and SWs....many a kit, two actual unfinished Cron Battleforces. And he's kind of out of the hobby ATM, he said I could build and paint his stuff....so I am.

I'd say about $500 -$750 for his stuff.

My two main armies are Eldar and Dark Angels, and I'm starting to pick up Dark Eldar stuff as it catches my eye. My MO on my own stuff is to build it up 50-75% before I get sidetracked by thinking how I can mod it to make it even better, or just sidetracked by another project. So started, virtually nil, but unfinished I'd say around $1500 give or take $200.

I've got smatterings of Reaper, Anima Tactics, Infinity, and other random stuff that is really items that have caught my eyes. This bulk is mainly unfinished/untouched and is probably around $200.

And finally I bought heavily into Confrontation in the early 2000's and just before Rak switched over to PPMs. I bought into Giffons, Lions, Wolfen, & Devourers as these were the armies I thought were the coolest. The bulk of this is either unassembled or unpainted and is upwards of $400 at least.

So between all this stuff I think maybe around $3000.

THE FUN HAS BEEN DOUBLED!!!

Not too much stuff. All my 40k models are done (except for a single Eldar Farseer that I liked as a model and haven't gotten around to painting yet). My Fantasy OnG on the other hand... There are about 100+ Night Goblins still unpainted (although assembled), at least 20 Orc Boyz and a Boar Chariot, and 20 Goblins. I think that's all. Money-wise, I'm not sure how much this all adds up to.

Needing painting:
*60 grots
*20 Lootas
*20 Shootas
*20 Sluggas
*15 Kommandos
*10 Mega Nobz
*1 Wunderrokkit
*1 Stompa head

Stuff waiting to be built:
*30ish yard-sale and ebay auction ork bikers (next big project)
*20 Stormboyz from an Ebay lot
*An old broke Armorcast baneblade to become a Skullhamma
*A liftdroppa stompa half built
*3 painted 3rd Edition land raider BWs to become battlefortresses with some add ons.

Really not all that much. I am usually in modeling mode or painting mode and I just finished preparing for NOVA. So I am probably going to churn through assembled units who just need paint. I painted 15 shootas in one day on sunday so now I get to do a 'fun' unit to reward myself then back to painting grots or something.

44.328850 / -73.110190

Literally thousands of miniatures and countless thousands of dollars spent. I've been collecting miniature since 1983 and had a significant issue w/ -hoarding- collecting in the 90's. I was gone from the hobby from '99 to '09 but as soon as I got back into it I started to amass even more stuff. Then about a year ago I won an auction on eBay for a monstrous collection of old IG / CSM / random bitz / terrain, etc., most of it unpainted and a lot of it still in blister / box. I later found out from the seller that it was from their father's estate sale and they hoped I got better used out of them than he did.

That hit me pretty hard. I started looking at the overwhelming and unmanageable amount of things I have and decided I'm not going to do that to my kids. I have so many great ideas, so many projects I want to do, so many miniatures to build and paint, but at 45 I am feeling the press of time and eventually all things go to Papa Nurgle.

Over the next few months I culled my collection down to the items I am absolutely and genuinely certain I'll maintain an interest in, have scheduled what I want to do as far as projects go, and have started to clean my life up. I started w/ my gaming / hobby area first and removed 5 contractor bags and countless cardboard boxes of JUST 'terrain building' stuff. I also sorted through my entire collection and about 70% has been inventoried / boxed / ready for sale.

I feel a lot better about where I am in modeling and in life. My workspace is clean all the time, I'm able to focus on a few projects at a time instead of feel overwhelmed bu the 15-20 I was trying to manage. I get more work done in less time. I look forward to my next project instead of feeling like it is 'work'.

All total I still have about 1k models left, but most of those are painted or directly slotted for specific projects. I genuinely enjoy modeling again and I feel now I can realistically expect to finish the vast majority of the things I have left before returning to the warp that spawned ms so many years ago.

Word of advice to the Young Bloods- spend time, not money. You'll be a lot happier for it 20 years from now.

Probably less than $200 and that includes my resin anime figure garage kits.

I really try not to have too much just laying around. I tell myself I have to finish a unit before I can purchase another one. This keeps me motivated and why I have 4 fully painted armies and 1 currently under construction.

Two anime figures
1 ork warbiker that needs a little converting and paint.
1 ork tankbusta boy + bomb squig
1 set of aobr orks boys
1 box of DE warriors
1 box of DE reavers
1 box of Kroot (primed)

Vintage Metal Magic Sardaykin Legion
50 figs, 1 tank
$210

Necromunda

$150

Inquisitorial type figs from GW and Warzone

Holy crap, I had no idea I had this much stuff! That's not even counting the many projects I have in the works, or terrain, or 10mm and 20mm stuff. I was just congratulating my self on having downsized. I guess that was premature.
