By the way, since a lot of people in this thread seem to have a lot of NIB items, you can exchange them at a GW store for full credit - I got a hive tyrant for $5 today this way

I am doing a quick inventory atm, yuck! 2 landraiders, 30 marines 10 from aobr, 2 dreads, 3 landspeeders, 4 Black templar upgrade sprues, 30 kabalite warriors, 30 wytches, 5 incubi, Dark Vengeance set, 2 ravagers, 3 raiders, 5 hellions, 15 terminators, 6 reavers, 1 vindicator, so many bits ima drown in them wanting to convert most of my stuff for the black templars have imperial guard cadians i was using for neophytes somewhere. One steel toed boot shoe box full of sprue im not sure whats in it mainly space marine stuff but im too scared to look.

It seems like I don't' have much compared to the rest of you, but i have a reasonable amount of addiction indicators.

Actually, I have managed to get a grip on what I buy as time has gone on. I think i've become much more disciplined as I have gotten older, as I have had so many experiences in the past where I buy something and it collects dust for years.

Honestly, now I make a real effort to paint everything I have before buying something new, or at least if I buy something new I will work on it simultaneously with my current project. I think starting a project blog has helped massively with this. And those things that I just do not want or need anymore I will just trade for something. Nothing really goes to waste. I will happily use old models on projects.
Granted, part of this is down to my home situation and financial situation, but I think at a rough estimate I only probably have about £50 worth of stuff still unpainted....I also just feel too guilty speding so much money these days.

And here I thought my box of tactical marines and command squad is a lot already....

Then again, I dont paint my minis (after failing miserably the first few times) so I either commision stuff I need specifically or troll ebay for deals

I'm not sure I really want to list how much stuff I've got lying around but here goes! Bear in mind this list dates back to last year; I got a job and it has totally disrupted my painting...

5 scouts. Built the one with the heavy bolter, then, the other 4 still need built. Was going to do something with them, but then changed my mind on what I was going to use for my IG allies. So, now BA death company with tycho, in a drop pod.

Will have to figure this out eventually... but probably upwards of $10k worth of stuff.

Will need to do a fancy spreadsheet with pie charts!

When I consider that I have around 500 models in transit from Kings of War, Relic Knights and Reaper... not to mention Sedition Wars!!! WOW... that's a lot of stuff.

Thats kind of a lot now I think about it...

Just today I was actually having this sort of mini-crisis! For the first time in about six months, I had no idea what to paint next. My backlog goes on forever, but I was able to dig out a pair of Hellhounds that I've had lying around since last May and get started on them. This of course was after hemming and hawing on a number of other IG tanks, Dark Vengeance sets, Crimson Fists, Arbites, Necromunda gangs, and miscellaneous old models I want to add to my Valhallans. I guess there are worse problems to have!

If I recall correctly I have about 30 PA Grey Knights, a Blood Angels Dreadnaught, a Landraider, about 3 Rhinos, and a Venerable Dreadnaught. Its not much, but that's only including stuff that I have never opened. Stuff that I haven't used at all nor painted is a much longer list..

A fethton of Tyranids. I bought a helluva lotta Gaunts, and then I decided that I should get a Chaos army instead because Tyranids were getting boring. It wasn't a hobby anymore, ya know?

So now I have so many Gaunt sprues that I'm afraid to count them. I'll probably end up selling them on ebay later for like 1/10 normal price. I just want to get rid of 'em.

refunds need receipts, exchanges generally don't.

Ugh. Way, way, way, way, way, way, way too much. A lot of it accumulated while I was out of the hobby and now I'm getting back to it I have a mountain of stuff.

actually think the number is ower, but 5% is a good enough
number as any.

Man, I never have stuff sitting around NIB. First thing I do when I get home with my new toys is open them and build them. But then, my spending has been curbed a lot lately, and I really try to paint more than I buy.

Is that all? I've got 400 unpainted Guardsmen, and they're only part of a 25-30k Guard army of which virtually nothing is painted. They sit aside my unpainted Chaos (30k), Tyranids (12k), Marines (12k) and the recent Eldar and Tau armies I was given (4k/2k). My only mostly painted army is my Necrons.
