It's not just for outside of Europe.

Euro dealers can't sell outside of the eurozone.
US dealers can't sell outside their zone (and territories).

It happened last year - long enough that some new gamers won't be familiar with it because they don't follow news that happens before they got interested in something.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

Exactly this, as well as the Australian pricing scheme for GW. They are straight up gouging and they know it.

I don't mean to hijack but we are fine shipping finecast.

Using people like the OP is championing and us are the best way to put pressure on GW with reguards to the embargo. If they see how silly/lazy it was of them to do it in the first place they might rethink it. It just hurts the hobby at the moment. Why pay more for a product the company is willing to sell in a different location?

We have a local saying in the UK "You can't sell coal to newcastle" essentially it means describing a foolhardy or pointless action on a commodity that has a fixed value. If the value is location specific people will fine a way to move it.

Indeed. It's the reason that jobs are outsourced. Why pay someone $10/hr to do customer support calls in the US when you can pay someone in India or wherever to do the same work for much less with no obvious hit to the service(other than the service itself as anyone who has called a support line knows).

There is zero reason for GW's pricing and embargo, therefore we must destroy it. It is just blatant greed.

Um, they generally don't have sites, because if GW connected the dots then their distribution would get pulled.

Luckily my guy doesn't deal with GW direct, he uses a 3rd party warehouse, so his distribution isn't really in any peril.

That and the nature of these sales is that it is being shipped to Australia personally, not commercially, so there's that.
