4k point game, BA versus Orks, Flash gits had spent the first 3 turns running away after having their trukk Melta'd, they rallied and then charged into combat with my DC and a assault squad, opponent rolled for charge range, something was mentioned just as he rolled it how useless they have been, he rolled three 1's (they had to go over the Aegis)

First game of 6th edition and well first game of 40k ever. Take a 750 point space marine list against a plague marine list. I am missing my shots, left and right, whenever I hit he makes his saves, he finally gets to my lines and into combat.

He challenges with a power first sergeant, I accept so the squad doesn't get decimated...he kills my guy, rolls on the chaos table thingy...6....6....fething transforms into a greater Nurgle Daemon thing. Which then goes onto smash my TDA wearing Librarian into the ground.

I ran Old Zogswort in my Ork army against Space Marines. I think his HQ was a Captain. Around Turn 2/3 I use Zogsworts curse and turn the Space Marine Captain into a Squig!

Yes, that's amusing in itself. But for the kill point I still need to kill the squig so send a unit of five Warbikers after it. Warbikers get two turns of shooting their Assault 3 Twin-Linked Dakka-Guns at it and fail to kill it, only for the Bikers to then get wiped out by another unit they really should have been shooting at/assaulting.

I lost the game by... yep, a single Kill Point.

But the hilarity of my Warbikers chasing this squig around the table still brings laughter from the group today when mentioned.

1st turn of the game, my wierdboy gets ready to go psykic, goes 'eadbanger. Oh so what? He only killed 3 orkz outta the 30 in his squad. After a good round of shooting from my friends blood angels, another 10 go down. My turn again! Come on wierdboy, more powers! Eadbanger again..........he is dead and another 5 boys die....including the PK nob...rest of boys stare at Mephiston coming......

My friend trying to decide if he should move his Autarch with Warp Jump Generator on turn 1. Then convincing him to. Then watching it mishap and suck his Autarch into the Warp.

The look on his face was priceless. I gave him the first blood and warlord points for that one - he did the work.

Back in one of the other editions I had one CSM champion remaining and he caused my friends necron army to phase out lol

This latest game, C;SM vs. Eldar.
He has alot of 5+models, so he puts them in cover, but i brought a whirlwind and a Sternguard squad
Those poor eldar didnt stand a chance, he lost most of his troops, but his warlord was a scoring unit and he killed more heavy support.

i have a new funiest moment.

Necrons versus necrons, with the battle at the end of the 6th turn a draw, the only thing either of us could do was to try to get a point for warlord to tip the balance.

Our necron overlords (both on full wounds) entered a challenge. Both of us had MSS. we both failed our LD test, we both rolled 3 hits, and both our overlords killed themselves (and failed their RP rolls)

I was playing a game on Sunday, me and my friend (Space Wolves and Ultramarines) vs 2 other friends (Tau and Daemons) vs ANOTHER friend (Grey Knights). We got first turn. I told my Ultramarines friend to throw everything his Devastators had at the Knights Dreadknight, but a Multi-Melta, Lascannon, and a Heavy Bolter only took it down to 1 wound. The Devastators fired the 1 Bolter in 1 shot range. He hit on a 3, wounded on a 6.
the Dread failed his save on a 1.

Ok, got a new one that I saw just last week.

So Chaos is fighting Orks.


Khorne Lord with daemon weapon is in a challange with a Warboss with a PK and Cybork body.

So the Khorne Lord rolls for his attacks. 11 attacks on the charge! He causes 3 wounds, 2 are saved by the Cybork body!

Warboss lives! Kill dat spiky boy!

only manages a single wound which is saved.


For the next two rounds, the same thing happens. The Lord takes a wound off the boss, and the boss does nothing in return.

On the third round, the Boss fails his Ld and gets run down. Khorne does not bless his champion because he didn't kill his opponent in a challange.

If I were Khorne I'd not bless him either, he sounds like he couldn't hold his own against a rubber duck.

A chaos sorcerer and company had gotten into close combat with my Company Command squad. The rest of the guardsmen are wiped, which left only the astropath versus his sorcerer.

The chaos sorcerer gets ready to smite the lowly servant of the emprah, and fails hit once.

The astropath rolls his eyes and shows the demigod of chaos some REAL magic, by drawing his laspistol and shooting the sorcerer in the chest.

When I first got my Orks, I took out a tank with a power Klaw (str 10). rolled a 6 and it exploded. I had one wound left and failed the armour test for the blast/shrapnel hits.

Whenever this thread comes up, I always say the same comment because I never come across anything funnier.

I was in store playing a kid who had an orc army. His brother (or friend) was watching. Once we finally got setup (it was fantasy) the kids brother leaned down over a big unit of orcs, yells "Waaagh" and a big load of drool plops on the kid's model (slurp noise and everything). I burst out laughing and the two get into a big slap fight. Finally they settle down, but the whole game the kid would grumble "I can't believe you slobbered on my orcs", which would start me laughing and another slap fight would start. I felt like I was playing two real orcs failing animosity tests.

I lost from lack of concentration and maybe pity for the kid.

I was losing a game pretty badly and was down to 1 model left. It was a Chosen CSM with a bolter.
On my turn I declared he was going to kill himself. being himself he was in rapid fire range. I roll 2 d6 and roll a 1 and a 2. Needless to say we had some fun reenactments of what he looked like.

I guess my funniest moment was when a lone guardsman with a melta gun chased a wraithlord for 2 turns after making a heroic ld save when his unit was shot from around him. He only caused two wounds and chased the thing until the game ended. I found it amusing....

I was down to a single SM scout against my brothers Abaddon and 2x 10 man squads of Zerkers.... Truly the emperor protects. My single scout killed every last one. Granted we were playing annihilation(to the last man) so this went on for some time... Needless to say he got terminator honors and full promotion to my 1st company.

I had Ghazzy pelting along after a Stormtalon shooting it with his Big Shoota in one game. Freaking hilarious!

My Chainsword/Bolt Pistol Sergeant killed a Nurgle Biker Sorceror in a Challenge.

I still need to paint his white Wreath on his helmet...

A single base of Nurglings, over several turns, demolishes a Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard unit, complete with Dante. There was much lulz to be had from both of us.


**EDITS** apparently i cant spell for crap when half-asleep.

I was playing a 1500 point battle against CSM, and I was running my monolith, it had be performing admirably, as usual, wiping out a squad of chosen in a shot ect.

Now, my friend had a squad of Chaos terminators, fully kitted out, chainfists galore, he grins at me when they come in.
He places them 6 inches from my monolith, rolls, they scatter into my monolith, and die.
We stood there for a minute before both busting out laughing.

Another time was my monolith getting assaulted by chaos bikers with melta bombs, they failed to damage it for 2 turns, as i kept using the exile portal on all of them,
At the end of it all, he got two glances, and lost 6 bikers.

one of my favorite moments in a game was when I had a squad of five sternguard jump down from a really high building. None died to dangerous terrain and where safe, but far from the action and couldnt engage with boltguns. I decided to run them, and in three consecutive turns they rolled a '3'

I can just imagine them hobbling along with blown knees after jumping from an insane fight.

Had a game the other day, my Orks vs my buddy's new CSM.

I charge Typhus and accompanying Termies with my Nobs. Typhus challenges my boss. I accept (I forgot Typhus had Eternal Warrior, or I wouldn't have). So for a couple of turns I'm whittling him down while I save all of his force weapon hits (my Nobs have since killed his Terminators, so I'm getting re-rolls from the rest of the squad). Eventually, however, Typhus causes an unsaved Wound, and force weapons me to death. Typhus then rolls on the Chaos Boon table. 22. He turned into a Spawn.

Later in the game, his flying Daemon Prince charges two Deffkoptas. He had two wounds left. I roll boxcars for Overwatch with my Rokkits. Both wound, and he chokes both of his invulnerable saves.

Of course, that entire game consisted of him choking on dice rolls while I rolled exceptionally well. I offered to trade dice more than once, but he kept telling me I was due for a fail.

I had a single Eldar Pathfinder-Ranger last 4 turns in melee vs. 3 Genestealers and manage to kill 1 of them. Both of us were wondering why he wouldn't die . I considered naming him (painting a name on his base) due to his efforts but I have since forgotten which specific model accomplished the feat.

Back in third edition, I played a game with my Templars against a friend's Dark Eldar in that awful, awful, Meatgrinder mission.

Round abouts Turn 5 he charged my last remaining Crusader Squad with his unit of Incubi. They fight valiantly through the combat and down several, but by the end of the round I have one marine left of the squad. My turn 6 I move my remaining vehicles away from his forces, and somehow my Templar survives combat with around 7 incubi. His turn he shoots the rest of my army off the table, however in the assault phase is unable, again, to kill this one marine. I won the mission, which required the attacker to completely wipe out the opponent, by having him alive.

We made a lot of "You're my number 1 guy!!!!" jokes after that.

My opponent had deep struck a big elite necron squad of some kind and landed on top of a gun drone. We named it the killer Frisbee

At this point on in the majority of my games my drones have done more to win me games than such as killing the last term off an objective while sitting on an immobilized dfish or making a mad dash to contest an objective needing boxcars and getting it.

(I think my drones rack up more points win wise then my fire warriors who end up running off the board most of the time lol.)

Let's see...had a monolith scatter it's particle whip back onto it and Explode itself (last edition when the p whip was Str 9 and AP1 on the hole).

My buddy had a single (ONE) terminator wreck and explode two triarch stalkers in close combat (yes, I failed miserably at shooting him) in the same game, one right after the other...and yes, this was AFTER my attacks against him.

Failed three 2+ armor saves in a row with a D.Lord against emperors champion in a challenge. That was fantastically awful. Didn't even get my attacks in. Failed to get back up too.

Oh, my favorite is when a melta, a heavy gauss cannon, a particle whip, and the death ray all failed to do ANYTHING against a land raider...up until the wraiths assaulted and subsequently exploded it.
