They look great!

Just a little flat though. Maybe a wash?

I second the advice for some wash. The painting is very neatly done though. I really like the color scheme.

Makes a nice change to see DE look so, ummmmm, jolly? They really could do with some depth though, I like the colour scheme and would love to see more!

Agreed. I like the brighter colors, but you I think you should add some motif or deeper shading/highlighting contrast on the vehicles.

This isn't the first time people have advised me to use a wash on these. I don't really want to for 2 reasons:

1) washes tend to make the models look 'greasy', I don't mind this on my Imperial Guard because I like to make them look a little worn, but on these I'd like to maintain the 'clean' look. I feel that there are very few recesses for washes to flow into on DE vehicles, so it would just pool onto the surface and look awful.

2) I kinda like the matte blue look

Which is not to say I'm not open for persuasion, so feel free to convince me that washes would work on these. Thanks for the comments!

Just don't bathe the whole model in it; there are plenty on nooks and crannies on those models for wash to flow. For even better results, try using an oil wash. You also did not paint portions of the cockpit canopy.

Brightly coloured Dark Eldar isn't that unconventional. All eldar can look nice bright.

If you want to get rid of the oily look from a wash you can try using a matt varnish to finish the model.

Iv put some pics in a spoiler so you can see the difference.

Washes only give that "greasy" look if you swath the entire model in it.

Do more precise stuff with it, like dab at the grooves between the plates, the floor, or any spot that would tend to draw a shadow regardless of where the light is coming from.
It takes a bit more time but ive seen some great work doing that method.
