I went onto fantasy flight games website this past Friday to look to see if relic had any new info and sure enough they had a black Friday sale going, I missed the hours heresy for 25 dollars so I was wondering if anyone knew if ffg has had a cyber Monday sale in the past?

Just to be clear, this isn't just a Black Friday deal. The sale lasts through December 3. In past years, they have sometimes extended it further.

As you can see, nearly the entire line of WFRP 3E is going for bargain basement discount. There is some speculation that this is the end for Third Edition.

All of the 2nd edition is on sale too, core book was only 5 bucks.

To be replaced by what? Didn't they just start a cycle of new POD products?

It could be, and looking over what's on sale this seems more likely to me, that they're just clearing out the items that are taking up their (limited) warehouse space.

I hope you're right. But note the only things not on that sale list (aside from the PoD cards) are the core box and the extra dice. Both of those products are getting harder to find through online retailers. I speculate that's because of low demand since FFG seems to have them to hand. I also haven't seen the line stocked in my LGS for years despite seeing the odd expansion at chain bookstores from time to time. But like I said, I hope you are right. I'd hate to think Enemy Within will be the last non-PoD entry for this innovative if muddled line.

FFG tend to do a few things in 'cycles', where several expansions are linked by a common theme. It's something they do a lot with their card games, so I must've seen a new cycle beginning in Warhammer: Invasion, not WFRP 3rd Ed. The last RP thing they put out was this.

Right, they've done two orders and two faiths. But the releases have been interlocked (faith-order-faith-order). It would be cool to see them continue this pattern ... or any further publishing regarding this line, for that matter. I emailed them tonight to ask whether extra dice sets would ever be available again. I hope I don't get pawned off with a line about the app.

You can try E-mailing FFG for shipping options. They usually give me four (expensive, very expensive, really expensive and super expensive) whenever I order anything. My last order with them was 2 books ($0 thanks to store credit) + $50 shipping ( ).

IF this is the end of 3E... what next?

I haven't seen a single rumor about 4E WFRP - so if this is the end of 3E, I just hope there is a 4E!

I am interested in that Horus Heresy game for 25 dollars..... Seems legit.

Hopefully it will be the end of WFRP in the current form. Just adjust the Dark Heresy model for a more Fantasy setting an HA! Much better RPG.

And at $25 Horus Heresy is STILL over priced. It is just a 2 player game that Chaos always wins. Not worth the money.

True, but I don't think Chaos normally gets to subvert up to half of the defenders either.

This preview just went up. Seems odd to release new things for a game you've cancelled, so maybe it isn't.

That preview may have just gone up but I have had the supplement on pre-order since before FFG slashed almost all its other WHRP 3E products by up to 70%. Announcing that also hasn't motivated them to manufacture any more dice for the game for the last several months. Plus, that is a redux of a classic adventure that might be a a "final hurrah" type product. The long and the short of it is that no one knows if they're done with the line -- and that this preview doesn't mean anything one way or the other.

When they stopped making Tannhauser products they actually said “This will be the last Tannhauser release for some time we bring this cycle of releases to a close”. They haven’t said as much for WFRP (as far as I’ve seen – I could be wrong here). Look, I don’t claim to know what goes on with the WFRP. All my experience is in dealing with the 40K RPG lines (and even then I can’t claim any real insider knowledge outside of the books I’ve written – some things still take me completely by surprise, like that Deathwatch space hulk book that’s coming out soon). All I can say is what I infer from the most recent sale.

1. It looked more like stock clearing than ‘game cancelling’.
2. It seems odd to release new products for something you’re not supporting and have, in fact, taken out of print.
