yay, first post, blah blah

anyhow, I just got Decembers white dwarf, and found that 'the rivals' article was exactly the same from the last months. same wording, picture, everything. the only difference was that one was slightly redder due to printing. so, just wondering, has anyone else gotten this?

My november issue of White Dwarf doesn't have a "The Rivals" article in it. My october issue does, and I don't have a december issue yet, but if you're saying that the version of "The Rivals" from the november issue is repeated in the december issue then I'd hazard towards thinking you've misread it or picked up a dodgy issue or something

There seems to have been a printing error, quite a few of the November/2nd in the new format issue didn't have "The Rivals" article in it at all.

Seems they're correcting this ( MMV ) by printing this for everyone in this issue.

Maybe it's the printers fault the content has been so bad for years.

My final straw moment with WD came when it carried the same IG fluff arrticle FIVE times. The pictures were different and it was over a period of year but thats just taking the piss.

WD does love to recycle.

So what you're saying is that my November issue was lucky because I got the rivals, but because not may people did, they are reprinting it in Decembers edition?

I too had the same Rivals article in my copy when I bought it just yesterday. It actually got me a little upset, not to mention the shortened article of Blanchitsu...
I compared my magazine with last months and they were both exactly the same right down to the T.

If this is the case, I'd say take it back to where you bought it, call GW, etc. a demand some form of refund.
If not let them know you either want your subscription cancelled, you won't be bothered with the magazine again, or whatever.
Never know, you might get lucky.

When you run as many advertisements, err, I mean articles, as WD does, you're bound to print the same thing twice...

Well the pictures are different each time, depending on what gets released. Maybe they should just change into a photography magazine.

Perhaps they can just fill the magazine with pictures of new product and provide a sheet of alphabet stickers for every reader to create their own captions and articles.

I picked up the first issue of the re-designed White Dwarf and left it at that. The magazine still doesn't provide enough reading hours to spend money on.
